Lawson brothers are going to Kansas. Think Self is hiring their father?

With at least 4 spots open, I assume any new Coach will also look to transfers to fill out the roster. It'll get more clear once we see the style of the new coach but we can still get high quality Transfer targets in one place. Not that I think we'll go after him, but maybe we'll end up having a trade with Nebraska : ESPN 4* PF from 2015. And another PF leaving Nebraska, Ike must be stealing all the minutes!:

Probably a little bit of a reach, but I like this kid.
Believe he played with Tremont at South Kent too

Really? Do we really need to add a player that could barely see the floor for a 9-22 team last year?

He'd play!! We don't have anyone on our roster who defends the rim like this kid can. Opponents can come into the lane at will against us right now...this kid would make them think twice.

Hard to say what Gtown's D will be under Ewing.. His numbers don't show him to be a rim protector, he's avg'd less than a block per game for his career & doesn't seem to be a high level rebounder either.. Plus he'd a grad transfer coming to a down team, take your lumps this coming season & see what you have on the roster.. I'd give all the front court time to Govan, Agua, MD, Walker & Muresan next season..

Really? Do we really need to add a player that could barely see the floor for a 9-22 team last year? Atewe played 14 minutes a game his freshman year at Auburn but suffered from a stress fracture in his left leg. After that season he had surgery to insert a steel rod in his leg. Then in an exhibition game before the next season he fractured the same leg near the steel rod, forcing him to miss that whole season. This was his first season playing since the 2013-2014 season, so I would be willing to see if he is healthy enough to become a backup power forward that focuses on defense and rebounds. Keep in mind that Atewe has been in college for 4 years, so he is likely a graduate transfer that would be eligible immediately. If he played one year with the Hoyas as a reserve, that would preserve the scholarship for some of the promising 2018 players that Coach Ewing is recruiting. For roster balance reasons alone, we wouldn’t want to see the Hoyas with a 5 player freshman class next year, of which 4 of them signed in April or later. Sounds like the perfect way to potentially add depth to the roster for the short term.

If he's only played 2 seasons and has been in college for four years, wouldn't he be eligible to play 2 seasons? I'm asking because I also would like to see that roster balance and if he has two years left, that would take one scholarship from 2018.

It looks like he has 2 years of eligibility left based on articles when he transferred to Washington. www.thenewstribune.com/sports/college/pac-12/university-of-washington/article26280913.htmlPlayed 2013-2014 Injured 2014-2015 Transfer sit out 2015-2016 Played 2016-2017 I guess the question would be does he plan to use all 4 years of his eligibility or not. Also, keep in mind that even if he stayed 2 years it would still give the Hoyas decent roster flexibility. Scholarships Currently Available 2017 - 3 2018 - 4 2019 - 3

Would this guy be effectively be cover for losing Waters? Anyone seen him play? His numbers are okay, but not eye catching for playing in the summit league. Looks like he may have two years of eligibility left as well.
