Max Hazzard would be a very nice addition, but I have no idea if he would have any interest in changing coasts. Max Hazzard, one of the top guard graduate transfers, verbally committed to Arizona on Tuesday, he told 247Sports. “Obviously it’s Arizona,” Hazzard told 247Sports. “They call it a players program for a reason. They were down this past year and I like my chances to come in and fulfilling a big role and hopefully getting them back to Arizona basketball, where they belong." Hazzard took an official visit to Arizona on Thursday and Friday. The 6-foot, 170-pound guard also considered California, Gonzaga, Minnesota, Pittsburgh and TCU. Due to graduate transfer rules, Hazzard will be eligible to play for Sean Miller next season. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Arizona-Wildcats-Max-Hazzard-Sean-Miller-Graduate-Transfer-131376478/

Jamorko got benched and afterward played about 20 MPG and isnt the fan favorite that Mac is. We don't really seem to be in on any big immediate SG talent so that should be a hint as well. Galen isn't a big SF talent as well. Did you just want to call me out because I typed Mac? Ok so who? Who are the available big SG transfers we are scaring away by "giving" the leading freshman scorer in the Big East 26 minutes? We know low/mid major transfers including grad transfers and top 20 JuCos dont count by your own standards. So who are these big, highly-ranked, high major SGs available that are clearly better than Mac historically? Lets start there before even considering whether they are chicken or not. There are plenty of local guys that could easily be better like Moore, Beran, Harris and even Quinones and tons of transfers including low/mids as Greg showed, but why would they risk coming somewhere that the SG position seems pretty locked up for the foreseeable future. We are going to get the next level of guys that are OK being at Georgetown and getting whatever time they can. Luckily we have someone capable to back him up so it's not that big of a deal. Next year could change that depending on how Mac does this year. A lot of people on here seem to think we need a great shooter/defender at SG. That would mean that person would have to take Mac's minutes which not many people seem to condone. This isn't a knock on Mac it's just the truth of the situation.

Mac’s ability to shoot at a good percentage will determine the arc of his career. We know he can drive. Defense and ability to distribute would be a plus. Also, I am expecting good things from Alexander.

I thought we weren't on anyone like that. So we are offering guys we secretly don't want as we show them we are guaranteeing Mac minutes so even though we recruit and offer we try to turn them off? Meanwhile almost anyone could beat out Mac by helping us win games but Ewing is so sold on him they don't want to come here and fight to get six of his minutes for 20 per game? Water tight. Agree fully.

Agree fully. Pat has shown so far he doesn’t always play the guys that give us the best chance to win. He has basically punted on the first 2 years to get his guys experience. Yes we offered Lester way before he blew up. I’m sure Pat would love to have all the best guys. This has nothing to do with that. The point was what player is going to want to come into this situation? Would you advise a 4 star SG or transfer looking for time to come here?

I do feel that Pat plays his best players. Malinowski and Mosley were given opportunities. Mac played less when he was cold and more when he was hot. Pickett came off the bench when he struggled. Maybe, Blair should have received some more run. Coach also sees these guys in practice and how kids are dedicated to improving.

I do feel that Pat plays his best players. I would say it differently. He mixes and matches his line-ups based on different strengths and weaknesses. A sophomore Carter and Galen Alexander give him some really interesting pieces to play with.

Any early word on his visit? Sunday he posted an Instagram story picture of the view of Georgetown from Rosslyn. Yesterday he retweeted a tweet about Allen Iverson. So yeah, not really any public news at this point. Somewhat related is that UCF got Alabama grad transfer Dazon Ingram, who will likely take over Allen's starting PG spot for UCF.

Not good for Harris at UNC.

Not good for Harris at UNC. Harris is still coming off an injury. It might be better for his career to be the back-up his first two years then the man later on.

Terrell Allen just committed, I like it! Solid pickup, just what the doctor ordered...would love if this opens some doors at DeMatha.

Seventh Woods just said he is transferring--but looks like we got our PG depth taken care of for next year.
Not a bad Plan B after losing Cole. Maybe this guy Ewing has a plan after all?

Seems to be a great pick up to round out the roster. Checks a lot of the boxes that the team needs with another solid ball handler, defender and good 3 point shooter. Should help the team play well in transition. Great job by the staff identifying, and closing the deal on, a player.
