Been away for awhile. Why did Paul White transfer?
I thought he was a key component this coming year and is there concern with that or are we all good. I know his injury and absence was the main reason we didn't do well last year according to most on the board so surprised by the news.

We'll likely never know all the factors that went in but there were more than 1.

I think Oregon gets a really solid stable piece considering they get him a year from now with a full years practice under his belt. With all the transfers they get, they have a bit of a formula for this. The only school I think that competes on the transfer market to the same extent Oregon does is Iowa State. Good luck Paul!

Best of luck to Paul who by all accounts was a good kid.
That being said, hope he is not giving away too much info in advance of Maui.

You have to excuse eagle54. He's been getting quotes from masonry contractors about building a beautiful, beautiful wall on our southern border.

PW was, in my estimation, dissatisfied with the visibility of the Kente pattern on our new floor as viewed by a someone watching on TV. As such, he went to a school with a much flashier floor. Seems completely logical. Seriously though, how often do you get anything other than the canned reasons for a guy transferring and why would you expect this case to be any different?

So THAT'S why the board had seemed so much more pleasant lately.

I was really hoping that White would bounce back and light it up for us. Hope all is amicable between him and us. That's all I am going to say.
By the way, I've been away for a while, too. School and kids have been kicking my behind, though.

KC is a dimwit but I guess he keeps the "positive attitude" of the board going so good for him and the followers. Did Spirit give up on you with your Trump and racist rhetoric? I know I would have.

Approximately 100% of the board said that Paul's injury was one significant factor in our poor performance last year. Approximately 10% said it was THE significant factor.

There were a couple of posters that refused to allow for the possibility that injuries should affect team performance. Those posters would not agree that there's a difference between a reason and an excuse for a dip in performance.

As a high schooler: White was a classic faceup, playmaking four-man who was a slick passer and versatile performer. At Georgetown: Averaged 1.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game as a sophomore. Expectations: After showing promise as a freshman, White's numbers took a huge dip in his second year. At Oregon, Dana Altman has made a habit of getting big production from transfers and there is plenty of available playing time. If he returns to form, he will be part of making the Pac-12 race a fun one to watch. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/bossi-s-best-remember-me-highly-ranked-transfers
