Great Article on Hayes! I'm am hoping and cheering like crazy for this kid! He has never been given a real chance and most kids would have transferred along time ago. This write up got me jumpy with anticipation for the season to start. Less then a week away...

Running The Gauntlet: Georgetown Basketball Season Preview
A Great Preview of the Upcoming Season to Get Your Juices Flowing" I didn’t know Kaleb was a guard, but he’s been playing strictly guard since he’s been here,” said Copeland. “That’s kind of scary, he’s like 6’7” or 6’8,” playing guard the whole time, seeing him being able to use the ball screens, guarding everybody, and getting to the rim like he does.”
"Last year was more of a learning experience, like just growing, watching the older guys. This year, I have one year underneath my belt. Basically, I’m more of a teacher, more vocal this year. So, I’m definitely seeing my role change from this year compared to last year,” Copeland said.
“Our expectations of Bradley are very high. Seeing his growth over the summer, it was tremendous, man. I’m excited to be playing with him finally, consistently, as a peer and a brother of mine,” Smith-Rivera said.
“I felt like we all looked at it at the same time and looked at each other and just kind of grinned…Wisconsin at the Garden, possibly Duke after that. We’re excited. We look at it like an opportunity to make a lot of noise early this year,” Cameron said.6 DAYS AND COUNTING.....

"Im most excited about Marcus Derrickson. His work ethic is incomparable to anyone else’s … He’s always the first one in the gym, the last one out of the gym, and the first one in the weight room, last one out of the weight room,” said Hayes. “I see him, when I’m in there all the time, and, as a freshman, you don’t really see that.”

Still have the game on DVR The team went from 7 down to ten up over an 8+ minute span for the most part without DSR for a big chunk, Peak, Copeland or Josh on the floor.. Saturday can't get here soon enough for me..

This is the second time I've seen someone refer to him as possibly 6'8". Growth plates?

He looked 6'7 in all the videos from Italy. And in his senior year in high school he was listed anywhere from 6'5 to 6'7.

Is Kaleb Johnson going to be the player that MCI always wanted DJ Owens to be?

The better question is if Govan will make up for RBB failing to live up to his potential.

Is Kaleb Johnson going to be the player that MCI always wanted DJ Owens to be? Or will he be the player it looked like Greg Whittington was going to be?

Watching him at Kenner, I was just amazed at how easy he can get to the rack and how great his handle is for a guy his size but he is all Left. I hope that can grow.
