Good fight by the team. Too many stripes to overcome at the end. That no call on the Deroshier moving screen on Dunn's three and the Leap lay in were nails in the coffin.

DSR does not want to take the shot and PW needs to take it. Twice! Incredible!
Soul searching time for DSR!

Where does Cooley send the check? Should he make it out to them individually or would they prefer to split it themselves?

typical III end of game set. horrible as usual. this is a .500 team at best in conference. keep playing Hopkins and have DSR on the bench. We got exactly what we wanted on the defensive end, a stop and a quick layup so I don't see what difference that particular play makes. Hopkins is agree with you.

Not going to blame the refs. When we had our chances at the foul line we did not hit the shots.
Good job by White. DSR and Smith played okay. Not much else good to talk about.
Not happy I was right with my prediction.

And give Hopkins credit...big defensive play on that last possession. Can't give him credit for anything that happened in OT. If not for his 0-6 from the line, there wouldn't have been an OT and he never would've had to make that play.

Hopkins has to be the most frustrating player on this team to watch. Horrible on offense and at the line, but a solid defender who has the ability to make big plays on that end of the floor.
Our zone offense has to get better for us to have any chance of doing anything in the next few months.

This was a game I did not feel good about going in, but to lose like that is horrifically painful. We really need games like this come March and we gave it away.
Can someone who is against the 2 for 1 concept explain to me why it would not have been the right strategy when we have the ball with 1:08 left in regulation down 1? We could have taken 23 seconds (ie not rushed) and still left a 10 second differential.

It is absolutely true. I can't recall a single comment from you that was not just a slam at the coach. As for your initial post - you were just wrong. We also drove the ball into the zone the first part of the second half to get the lead. You posted a few days ago with a list of 3 "constant" deficiencies of the program- then when a slew of posters disproved your point, you disappeared again. That seems pretty childish to me. On the contrary - no one disproved anything. And if you really think I have consistently criticized our coach you are sadly mistaken. In years past, I have always been a staunch supporter of his. Look it up if you want. He is not doing a good job his season. Do you think he is? That's the debate - not some childish tit for tat that you seek to want. You claimed we have never defended the 3; others posted that we have had highly ranked three-point defense 3 of the lsdt 4 years. You claimed we NEVER make halftime adjustments; the Indiana and UNCC games directly disproved it, as 8 or 9 posters pointed out. So you can ignore the truth, or admit it. Has Coach made mistakes? Absolutely. Must he do better? Certainly. But to constantly harp about the coach with every post just seems sad to me.

To all the folks whining about JTIII, it would help if you had a single specific complaint anywhere in there.
We get a great road win today if Hopkins doesn't completely and utterly the bed. Four turnovers, 0-6 from the FT line, two colossally stupid and bad goaltends. We get a great road win if DSR would be more aggressive. We get a great road win if Josh Smith actually thinks about how many fouls we have.
We have a great road win if the officials don't decide halfway through the second half to give it to Providence.
And yeah, some of those set plays were awful. But you're a moron if you think JTIII is in the huddle going "stop moving on offense; DSR -- never shoot!"
Guru -- you did type a bunch of things a couple of days ago. I completely debunked a couple as factual incorrect. You didn't bother to respond. And if your brother in arms is freaking hoyacane -- the dude who only complains about the coach, well, good luck with that.

I called it -- Hop, MVP of the game. Well, except for the refs. No call on the Peak lay-up as he was sandwiched by two defenders was icing on the cake for their afternoon.

From the House of Hoya Horrors... any 1 of 6 Hopkins FTs goes in and we go home early. Hold Henton to 7 FTs in second half and OT and it should be a win.

DSR had the shot initially on the josh screen but did not take it for some reason.
