Colorado State survives in overtime, 58-57, over New Mexico State. The Rams only shot 35% from the field, but the Aggies were not much better (38%) and turned the ball over seventeen times. Maybe I'm biased, but I can't quite believe that anyone who follows basketball will vote to keep CSU ranked after this performance, irrespective of whether the Hoyas should be ranked. I don't think that's an unfair assessment. They've played no one and have had close games at that.

2:50 to play in the first half in Brooklyn, NY, and St. John's is cruising over a very sloppy (nine turnovers so far) Tulane, 35-22, in what has been a glorified scrimmage so far. Absolutely no idea how the Green Wave only lost by 9 at Washington, based on what I've seen.

At the half in Milwaukee WI, Marquette leads Morgan State in what the announcers themselves are calling an "ugly" game, 37-17. Morgan State, coming in with a 2-10 record, is shooting 20.6% from the field in the first half.

Dangerous game for Xavier playing FGCU. Especially since they play zero defense.

With 15:41 remaining in the second half in Cedar Falls IA, #23 Northern Iowa leads South Dakota State, 50-34. The Panthers will remain ranked. With 16:50 remaining in the second half in Radford VA, Radford leads Central Pennsylvania College, 74-33. That's not a typo. Highlanders are shooting 69.6% from the field.

FGCU has missed about 10 open shots. Probably not going to be much of a game, but xavier is certainly not going to be a force because of their defense....

Not a GOI, but it sure looks like Rutgers is ready for Big Ten play. Final score in West Long Branch, NJ: Rutgers 59, Monmouth (MAAC) 58. Myles Mack hit a jump shot at the buzzer to bail out the Scarlet Knights from another embarrassing loss. RU trailed for virtually the entire second half.
