Kennedy Meeks would've been real good here.

I would have liked Chukwu to augment our class for next year: very tall, athletic, and high upside. Not sure how advanced his offensive game is yet, but it wouldn't have to be with all the other talent around him. I preferred him over Elbert or Onuaku.

Ennis plays like a senior. In my limited time watching Cuse this year, he's been tremendous - far better than the out of control MCW. I hope he comes out. Draft projections have Vonteh in the top 7, so he's likely one and done, ready or not. Vonleh won't go that high once the NBA scouts get a close look at him at the combine. He doesn't appear to be any taller than 6'8" and he seems to have short arms. I wouldn't touch him in the top 15 of this draft. He puts up numbers because Crean likes to play run and gun and IU doesn't have anybody else, but I'm not that impressed with him as a pro prospect. That said, I do think he will go after this year as he should - his stock will only go down the longer he stays. You are completely wrong. Noah is all of 6-9.5....And he doesn't score because he's playing in Crean's offense. He scores because he's a lotto talent. lol. If you have seen Indiana play this year, you should know they hardly give him the ball. But he's an inside-outside threat, a monster rebounder and improving offensively every game. If he played here, he would be the most talented player we've had since Monroe

Standing reach is less than you'd think by height/wingspan, but he is not a small guy.

Mo Walker dropped ~70 lbs this past offseason and just had 18 points and 9 boards against # 9 Wisconsin for the Gophers. He's limited to back up minutes now (only averaging 6pts & 3 boards a game). Of course, he also missed 6 games to start the season for a "violation of team policy"

Standing reach is less than you'd think by height/wingspan, but he is not a small guy. Davis measured at 6' 10.5" in shoes with a 7' 5.5" wingspan according to DraftExpress. Same site has Vonleh listed at an even 6'8" in shoes. The Davis comparison is inaccurate. I do agree he'd be the most talented Hoya since Monroe, but I believe Otto knows how to play basketball better than Vonleh does. Guy just doesn't strike me as big or explosive enough to play his position well in the league. I do think he will get picked top 15, I just don't think he'll be very good.

He's not as good as Davis and won't ever be. I do agree that Otto is a better player - albeit a little different - just saying that he would have as much natural talent as anyone since Greg. Noah's definitely explosive, and I think he will be a good to very good power forward in the league. Was really impressed with the way he carved Michigan State up on Tuesday in the first half. And then Crean's guards stopped giving him the ball

RDF, Ed Stimes, doseofreality, Hi, I'm Oates!, DFW Hoya (he was quietly replaced by a horse e_books style pop-art project after the 100th Anniversary celebration)...my mind is slipping.
BTW, how about some credit to Craig Esherick for recruiting hifigator?

Kennedy Meeks went for 15 pts, 9 rebounds, 2 asst, 1 blk, 1 to in 21 minutes on Monday. Paschal Chukwu went for 15 pts, 12 rebounds, 7 blocks against Hillhouse. Forgot about those two players, who were also our primary targets. He has more offensive game than Nate from what I have seen, but would he have started over him? Wonder how he would have played in our system. Not so high on Chukwu in our offense system, with the same reasoning behind Nidaye. Chukwu is nowhere near as raw as Ndiaye or B Hayes. He can hit a midrange shot, and he's far ahead of Hayes defensively. Have no idea on Ndiaye's defense, but from what I've seen on youtube of the two of them, Chukwu is FAR FAR FAR more mobile.

Except that Hayes had no midrange shot like Chukwu, isn't as tall as Chukwu, probably even isn't as mobile as Chukwu. I was the most negative on Hayes, but we really missed the boat on Chukwu. Seriously - watch one of Chukwu's games on Youtube - the difference between Chukwu and Hayes is the difference between watching one guy completely dominate a game defensively and do some impressive things offensively, and watching a guy and thinking "maybe in four years he could give you 20 minutes".

doesn't that also describe what you guys said about Hayes? If I remember correctly, there was one highlight video for Hayes and no full game videos. I'm not sure if anybody here had actually seen him play. People were mainly guessing based on his height/athleticism. There's a lot more video out there on Chukwu and I think some posters have seen him play in person too. Full games are just far more useful when analyzing prospects. I think Chukwu can play, but we'll see soon enough.

Ndiaye has been terrific on defense, albeit against not elite competition. He's 3rd in the country in blocked shot %, and based on what I've read, he's like Roy in that he alters tons of shots that don't go down as blocks. UC Irvine has gone from a mediocre defensive team to a top 50 defensive team.

I don't think we were ever in the running for them but we missed out on Jeremiah's brother, Austin Rivers (The better brother). And we missed out on Kaleb Tarczewski who went to the same school as Nate Lubick and was coached by Lubick's dad.

Hey, in light of today's news, wouldn't it have been awesome to have Paschal Chukwu coming in next year?
