you mean the same billy packer that called AI "a tough little monkey'.
i always hated the musberger/packer pairing. neither appreciated the style of play of georgetown. i remember they both called out Zo for playing too 'annoyed' in the BET title rout of su(ck) in '89.

This may be heresy, but I think Mcdonough does a good job. More importantly, to me, would be the inclusion of Raftery who is absolutely the best. Which in my mind, makes those three (incl. Bilas) the best crew. Raf IS Big East hoops as much as Pops and Carnesseca and Rollie. The good thing is we don't get Vitale who is absolutely insuferable. Knights OK, he will certainly appreciate the Hoyas D and say so.....

This may be heresy, but I think Mcdonough does a good job. Of course he does - he's a Syracuse grad!

Enough about who will announce this game. The BIG question is, Who are the REFS that will be calling this game? Are we going to get some big egos who want to get some camera time at the players expense. Anyone knows who they will be?

They are combining their #1 and #2 analysts on the Duke-Carolina game with Bilas and Vitale. Dan Shulman gets the PBP nod over McDonough. We get the #3 crew. Makes sense considering the Gtown-Syracuse game has been an afterthought in all the promotions. I suppose ESPN thinks that only one game in college basketball really matters each season. Of course they are partially responsible for the hype that goes along with the Duke-UNC matchup. Anyway having Musburger for a big Syracuse/Georgetown game seems like old times. Color me gobsmacked. John Feinstein (yes, John BUM Feinstein) was on Comcast this morning -- actually, I'm certain it was last night, but I saw the replay this morning -- talking about how overrated the Duke-UNC rivalry is. And mentioned how there were so many other great rivalries throughout college basketball that were just as good or even better. Of course, even when he is having a moment of clarity, BUM is still a gigantic doosh, so he didn't actually mention Georgetown-Syracuse as one of those rivalries. EDIT: And I'm sure the only reason he called it overrated was that no one in their right mind would let him be part of their broadcast team for the game.

Got to the office today and what did I see? Dozens of Ottos looking at me! Argh!!!
My co-workers upped our on-going prank wars by carpet-bombing my workspace with 'cuse paraphernalia. They even taped an orange to a k-cup, a bottle of hot sauce, and the inside of my desk.
This means war.
GO Hoyas - beat the 'cuse so I can burn each and every one of these little demon icons with relish!!!

I saw 9.5 and 11 points, but I would rather be an underdog in this game. Sneak up on the smarmy, overconfident, ethically challenged, women and child abusing, academic cheating "student athletes" from SUcks. And that's their good points.
OldHoyaFan has a good point. Who are the refs?

Casual Hoya seems to be having some serious problems today.**
I smell foul play from the sweatstained Orange faithful.
** Umm, I mean, so I hear. I never read that blog. Damn smart ass kids posting from their parents' basements.
HOYA SAXA!!
(I am going to get nothing done today. I probably shouldn't be investing so much in this one game, but I just hate them so damn much).
