Gosh I hate the meltdowns by our fan base. Honestly Everyone should just stick to the chat room. The in game commentary is so reactionary and just looks stupid when you go back and read it. My post was reactionary too and it also looks kinda stupid looking back at it. I agree. This past in-game thread was particularly amusing. For the SECOND time, although I don't have to tell you anything, I posted my article for the fact that you said I was not a member of the team or affiliated with Georgetown. Well, guess what I fooled you, so this makes you look like what....I won't say it, I think you already know, I could tell in your writing who you are, lol...as far as my son leave it alone man, leave it alone. I didn't post for anyone to feel sorry for me or because we all have our own health issues or our family members have issues. I DO NOT NEED YOU TO TELL ME TO "REALIZE" anything about anyone's else's family, okay? Got it??? That's so disrespectful, I'm glad I really and truly don't know you...Thank God!  You can only feel less of a fan talking like you do and being disrespectful especially with folks you don't even know over a darn computer #sad! When or wherever I post my story is my business and not your business. Got It? Hope so? If you don't like it, keep to yourself! If you're jealous, please keep it to yourself? And stop assuming why one does what they do!!! I think you need to ask more questions than assume. As coach and staff say's I'm the #1 Gtown fan and that's how it is whether you like it or not slim. If you understand what I was saying--then why are you so upset? Aren't you the same guy who claimed I was negative about team prior to BET last week, and when I provided the only post about the team prior to BET starting.--you were nowhere to be found. Why is that? Is the board turning into a fantasy basketball world? Are we not allowed to talk about the team unless it suits a certain point of view? So the qualifications of being knowledgeable are now coaching kids in a summer league and being a camp counselor? Nuff said. An "internet bully"? WTF is that? Having an opinion on a team messageboard is now seen as bullying? Not living in a land of make believe when it comes to how the team is playing is seen as being a "true fan". Guess there are a lot of "fake fans" on the boards then. BTB--you are loyal---and followers like you are always welcome. The idea that a person is not a real fan because they don't possess pollyanna-ish bias is ridiculous. Leave your holier than thou, we must always support the program's decisions absolutism at your own place (conversely there are others who refuse to acknowledge things the staff already has done that seemingly addresses their criticism). If you're allowed to gush irrationally during some times about how great the team is when they've done something good I think we can condone the opposite reaction sometimes. Additionally if we can praise players, coaches and the teams we should also be allowed to criticize their play or decision making.
The reason people post on here and follow the team here is because they care about the program. Trying to claim that somebody is not a fan for either too much optimism or pessimism as opposed to actually arguing their points is misguided and says more about your flaws than how true a fan somebody is. If you want strict purity on how exactly somebody should support the team go start your own site where you can predicate membership based upon how closely members agree with your views. You'll very quickly realize how lonely it is by yourself or the few parrots you have and more than likely you'll probably be driven mad by the cognitive dissonance you experience when reality doesn't exactly conform to your worldview.

This has been an interesting read. RDF hasn't been negative as far as I can tell (at least not lately). His analysis is well thought out and not personally directed in the least (again, not lately). If BTB has decided that any critical analysis of our Hoyas lies outside the realm of fandom, so be it. I personally don't think that's true and I'd be willing to bet that well over 80% of the people here believe that as well. If the defense isn't good, it's OK to point that out. Especially when the coach of the team says as much in a public forum. Is the coach now not a worthy coach or fan of his own guys for saying as much? Just agree to disagree and move on. Because I think Julian shouldn't be shooting three pointers and will say so doesn't make me love the team, the guys or the University any less. I just don't think all positivity all of the time, regardless of our level of play, is constructive. Moreover, it's not discussion-worthy. If we all just agree to not analyze the actual performance on the court, there's no reason for the board in the first place. We're here. We're fans. Our love for the team should be understood. It's why we signed on here in the first place. It doesn't make RDF's opinions or BTB's opinions any more or less valid than the other. You're both fans. Agree on that because that's all that matters. I do, however, take issue with BTB baiting people and calling them non-fans for mentioning deficiencies in a respectful way. That's the definition of disrespectful. Respect the fans as well as the team.

If we all just agree to not analyze the actual performance on the court, there's no reason for the board in the first place. We're here. We're fans. Our love for the team should be understood. It's why we signed on here in the first place. It doesn't make RDF's opinions or BTB's opinions any more or less valid than the other. You're both fans. Agree on that because that's all that matters. I do, however, take issue with BTB baiting people and calling them non-fans for mentioning deficiencies in a respectful way. That's the definition of disrespectful. This has been an interesting read. RDF hasn't been negative as far as I can tell (at least not lately). His analysis is well thought out and not personally directed in the least (again, not lately). If BTB has decided that any critical analysis of our Hoyas lies outside the realm of fandom, so be it. I personally don't think that's true and I'd be willing to bet that well over 80% of the people here believe that as well. If the defense isn't good, it's OK to point that out. Especially when the coach of the team says as much in a public forum. Is the coach now not a worthy coach or fan of his own guys for saying as much? Just agree to disagree and move on. Because I think Julian shouldn't be shooting three pointers and will say so doesn't make me love the team, the guys or the University any less. The idea that a person is not a real fan because they don't possess pollyanna-ish bias is ridiculous. Leave your holier than thou, we must always support the program's decisions absolutism at your own place (conversely there are others who refuse to acknowledge things the staff already has done that seemingly addresses their criticism). If you're allowed to gush irrationally during some times about how great the team is when they've done something good I think we can condone the opposite reaction sometimes. Additionally if we can praise players, coaches and the teams we should also be allowed to criticize their play or decision making. The reason people post on here and follow the team here is because they care about the program. Trying to claim that somebody is not a fan for either too much optimism or pessimism as opposed to actually arguing their points is misguided and says more about your flaws than how true a fan somebody is. If you want strict purity on how exactly somebody should support the team go start your own site where you can predicate membership based upon how closely members agree with your views. You'll very quickly realize how lonely it is by yourself or the few parrots you have and more than likely you'll probably be driven mad by the cognitive dissonance you experience when reality doesn't exactly conform to your worldview. Beat me to it. You must've posted while I was typing. Though, considering how the thread has gone so far, apparently it's OK to say the exact same things 12 times in a row. Don't be jealous because you're not the Hoyas #1 fan I can't help that maybe there's a reason for that as we can see...it's funny how say you can't understand what I write but you read it and write back #foolish
