Welcome moses! great Get! Sucks to be indiana1 but we already knew that! this isn't about handlers it's about moses making the choice that was best for his future. A great academic school with a history of developing bigs, and will be good for years to come. or he could've gone to a decent school with a coach who has no clue how to use big men much less develop them and be on a team that will suck all 4 years he's there. deleted Read this: www.zagsblog.com/2010/03/25/moses-abraham-to-georgetown/He loved IU, but chose Georgetown per his uncles request Oh, and at least our coach doesn't need his daddy there to handle his recruiting... Maybe Creen should use his own dad to help him in recruiting. Cant hurt maybe IU could get someone better then 2 & 3 star high school kids. Enjoy being in the laughing stock of the Big Ten

FWIW, twittter activity from some IU bloggers who have been tracking the situation closely and have demonstrated contact with Moses' people from time to time:
"RT @dustindopirak Abraham confirms commitment to G'Town. He said it was a tough decision, and asked that he be contacted again later.
RT @chriskorman: When Abraham left Bloomington today he planned to discuss with friends & family his decision to commit to IU. That changed.
RT @chriskorman: And if you think this thing is completely over , well, you haven't followed the Moses Abraham saga very closely, have you
Interesting emails rolling in tonight. Some feel this whole Moses thing isn't over. Not sure what to think at this point.
FWIW RT @hoosierball: @insidethehall sources close to Moses say it is not over, he got home today and slept, will talk with guardian 2morrow
Interesting that Boncore is talking to the likes of ZagsBlog and Scout, yet is not picking up phone for IU-related media outlets."

I just hope Moses wants to be at Gtown and not just his Uncle. I want him here, for what that is worth, but i dont want him to be miserable and not put in the work, and then transfer.

Thank you jgalt, thats what I'm saying. If he makes the choice to go to Georgetown, then I respect his decision. But at least let him make the choice. And the JT II comment was inspired by the guy that said F Indiana. I don't feel my posts have been insulting, so I didn't really think that guy needed to go there. But, look at it from an outsiders perspective. It definitely seems as if JTII, at least in the recruiting of MA, has had as much to do with the process as III.

weknowbball, way to taint your entire fanbase - which has been gracious about Abraham's preference for GU outside of your inane sour grapes comments. Glad you think the kid is such a moron that he can't decide for himself.
ON EDIT: A few IU fans are really grasping at straws on their message board. I guess when your program is sinking in the quicksand you'll grab for anything. Too bad. I always liked Indiana hoops.

By the way, if Abraham is the sleeper some think he is, this is a GREAT recruiting class. Definitely top 10 in the country. Any chance it shuts up some of the JT3 naysayers? Nah.

Maybe he will change his mind, but enough with the conspiracy and illegality stuff. Um, last time I checked, Indiana - probation, Georgetown-no probation.

The comments that prompted WeKnowBall's response were snotty. The IU folks (here and on Scout) have been nothing but gracious for the most part. No need for potshots in this case, Hoyafans.

This is what they said on the Tennessee Volunteer Message Board: "He is not reclassifying to 2011. He was originally going to wait until 2011 when he came over to the states, but his advisors and host family felt that he adjusted so well and so quickly, in basketball, socially and academically that they went ahead and classified as 2010. This is why you don't see him currently ranked in the 2010 top 150. He also has taken "official" visits, which to my understanding can only be taken by seniors or rising seniors who have finished their junior years of high school. His recent visit to Tennessee was an official visit. Look for him to be ranked in the top 40 or so when the end-of-year rankings come out by Rivals. This is all my understanding from some research I have done on the guy. The classification issue is a misunderstanding, and if anything, he is reclassifying forward a year rather than backward, if you can call it that. It is similar to a not-terribly uncommon situation where a high school junior has enough credits to enroll at the college of his choice after his junior year" www.volnation.com/forum/tennessee-vols-basketball/98071-whats-word-moses-abraham.html

If you feel that way, fine, but there have been tons of ridiculous comments about our recruitment. I could spend about an hour posting them. Just calling it like it is.

IMO it makes US look bad when we react like 6th grade bullies when well meaning posters from other schools post here and get lambasted as hicks, who would ever go to school in the midwest, supporting a crap program, their coach sucks, etc.

Damnit, Hoyatalk takes all the fun out of mocking other inferior schools. I hate that you're always keeping us down, fun police!

Damnit, that sucks. I really thought I put my "I would never go to a school whose reputation had to be bought by a tobacco fortune" deodorant today. I must have forgot and put on my "Is the midwest even a part of this country?" anti-perspirant instead.
