Thanks, deacon. Admittedly, it was tough to listen to with the background noise, but good nuggets nonetheless. He has a Deke-like voice.

Post-game interview with MA: On page 43 of this thread, I wasn't really expecting to get anything new or useful. But the interview you posted is the first time I've had a chance to see and hear him speak. Good stuff. Thanks. That first guy asking questions sure had an Indiana agenda! Moses seems like a nice kid, serious about what he is trying to do and very family oriented. He seems to like being part of the GU/Thompson family. And it also sounded like Crean may have overplayed his hand as Moses said the attention was getting way too much and he just wanted to make a decision and have it over with. Maybe Crean's over the top approach backfired this time.

That loser asking the questions is annoying with his Indiana agenda - he's fishing to either try to get Moses to say something negative about Gtown recruitment or somehow change his mind.

Yeah it was guy from an indiana recruiting site asking the questions, so it's understandable.
Honestly it did kind of sound like maybe if it was completely up to him he might've chosen indiana, however he acknowledged his own lack of knowledge about the situation and relied on his family and advisers who knew that playing at Georgetown would be much more beneficial for his development.
Reading some of the indiana message boards it was amusing to see some of them realize that he's a project. They're definitely still bitter.

Or, get the kid to infer some improper conduct by JT2 or JT3. The guy with the Indiana agenda just does not understand why a kid from Africa could turn his back on all the bells and frills that IU could offer to attend a school that does not have all the same bells and frills. Its called tradition and family. His family knows from Deke that Georgetown will be an extension of his family back home and that the tradition of graduating its players and its tradition of molding big men for the NBA will suit him best at this early stage of his development. The kid seems able to handle himself well. Good get JT3.

he definitely hustles and is a good kid, but i don't think he's that talented. There's a reason he's ranked where he is IMO. The kid was very raw last year, and I think a lot of people were high on him simply because of his off-the-charts athleticism. However, I really think he stepped his offensive game up this year. He's a defensive demon and someone that could be a lockdown defender at the collegiate level. I'm a DeMatha grad, so I go to almost all of their games and routinely take friends along and the one guy they almost always seem to be impressed by was Oladipo. Watching this Michigan-Indiana game made me think of how much I wished we would've put the full-court press on Oladipo. I'd wear shades and a smoking jacket to all of our home games and wish somebody said something.

They would have been in the same recruiting class, but obviously Bowen is a year behind because of injury. Obviously not as highly regarded, and no where near at the same level of play at this point in their careers , but I think injury and our style of play have made it much tougher for Bowen to get going.

That's who we took, and I remember in a different thread a few posters saying he was the right choice because Oladipo couldn't shoot.

Vick has come along way and is a very good college player...now. Coming out and knowing what III recruits, it's understandable why he was passed over. He's playing with a ton of confidence right now. Brilly is too though. I also recanted my statement, but Olidipo missed what would've been the dunk of the decade. lol

If this was a year ago, nobody would be saying anything about Oladipo. Give it time.

This is not the thread, but the way that French player shot the ball I couldn't help but think what if...
Granted he has other weaknesses but his catch and release was something you don't see a lot.

Not sure how all of this ended up in the Moses thread, but yeah, I gasped at that dunk attempt, and Oladipo didn't even make it. That reminded me of a Blake Griffin dunk, but Oladipo is nowhere near 6'9".

If this was a year ago, nobody would be saying anything about Oladipo. Give it time. He made significant strides in his game every single year in high school and Coach Jones raved about his work ethic. The athleticism was always there, but he wasn't this raw athlete that some tried to make him out to be and to see him doing this isn't surprising.

I agree Deacon, the kid has jumped a level every year so far. Unfortunately, I think Hoyatalk will be looking back on not taking Josh Hart as a mistake too..

I hear ya, but we don't need Jabril, Aaron, AND Hart If Hart had been a 2014 guy, I think there might have been a need there, especially with how much it seemed he wanted to be here, but as it stands, we needed to use the available 2013 schollies to fill different roles.
