I'm driving across the country today and want a back up plan if I can't find a place with ESPN. Anyone have a url for a live video feed? Channelsurfing.net doesn't seem to be broadcasting it.
I will probably be near Greg's home town by gametime, so maybe Mrs. Monroe could host a gamewatch.

I like the new Lic better. It occurred to while reading this thread that I actually read the new Lic' postings now.

I just re-watched the UConn game on my DVR (a great way to get in the mood for today, by the way), and a few things still stand out. Some are obvious: how we kept the rebound differential in control, the shut-down defense inside (especially on Thabeet), the team's astounding poise on the road, etc. We need to do all of that again today, and more. I agree with Lic and several others; Pitt's bigs aren't bigger or even more athletic than UConn's, but they PLAY better, and play better TOGETHER. DeJuan must stay out of foul trouble; on a second look, it is even more apparent how intelligent a game he played at XL. He needs to do that again, too. We will get to the line against these guys, because we will go at the rim, and they are aggressive. The issue is: can we keep knocking down our FT's? A final thought, even more apparent "upon review:" I don't "hate" on people, even the convicts' HOF coach, but Calhoun simply isn't the coach that he was. He made any number of moves to counter our game -- in fact, perhaps too many -- but they weren't effective. I think that JC once was a motivator, but (as Bilas said at least three times), UConn wasn't "ready" for the game; the Hoyas were. Plus, Calhoun just isn't as nimble a thinker , or flexible a strategist, as he once was. Nothing proves that more than how much he was a prisoner of "Thabeet think" in this game, and, when that didn't work (because JT III had a game plan that countered it), UCoach couldn't adjust. I think that point's relevant here, because (at least in my view) Jamie Dixon is already a terrific coach, and knows how to tinker and alter mid-game. This makes it harder to replicate one piece of the UConn win: they got thoroughly out coached.
An (almost) unrelated note: we habitual (if recovering) lurkers really appreciate the links on this board, which are pure gold to the cybernetically-challenged. Thanks to sleepy for the link to the Pitt board, and props to Daytona for a superb post there. It must tell you something when the best cooking on your board comes out of your opponent's kitchen. Let's get Pitt!

A friend and I used to do this in the early 1980s when there was no cable in Chicago, but a couple hotels by the airport could get the game on dish. You get a lot of strange looks when you ask for a room for 3 hours while carrying a couple of six packs.
