Did Nate get dropped in the Rivals top 150? I thought I saw him higher up a few weeks ago.

No, nate has been at #62 for a while. i think #58 on scout. but he outplayed Josh Hairston - who plays same position and is rated much higher- twice recently. ALOT of factors go into rankings. I'm not concerned if Nate drops in the rankings. i am more interested in hearing how he is playing this summer and next season.....so far things sound good.

Got to the Jamfest yesterday. Got to watch Nate twice, unforunately I did not make it down to their early game.
Nate had 2 very good games. Unforunately his team lost in their 4 game of the day. They were only playing with 5 guys.
The first pool play game: Nate had about 24 and 12 and his team won by 20 over an average team from Jersey. There were a couple big time highlights. An absolute hammer on a helpless defender and a defensive rebound, push up the floor and beautiful bounce pass on the run to a teammate for a lay up.
Round of 16: They lost to the Mass Rivals, who feature a kid committed to Michigan and a 6'11" kid who is getting high major interest. Nate played well again. Was an absolute monster on both glasses as your read in the article from NERR. He was also 3-3 from three. I would think he had like 15 and 18. He had one of the best dunks on Saturday, as he cam down the middle to hammer it on 3 kids. Unforuntely his team ran out of gas, as they were playing with 5 guys and his teammates didn't do a great job of getting him the ball in a position where he could score.
He was happy with his play this weekend but obviously was not happy that they lost.
Let me know if you guys have any questions.

doubt it. don't think scout or rivals were there. new england players get shaft. but GTOWN does not worry about rankings.

And so do Hoya recruits - so Nate is facing the Double Whammy!
On the other hand, Hoyas tend to do much better than expected in the NBA.
Good luck Nate! Looking forward to seeing you in a Hoya Uni in 2010.

Thanks, Mel! Nate sounds like he's playing extremely well right now. Can't believe he's only a junior.

I wonder with Nate if he will play the Greg role in the offense, the more I hear about him the more I think he could be really good at the 5 in this offense, especially since Henry will still be here.

Thanks graeagle. I noticed that Erik's Murphy's younger brother Alex played really well. I'm pretty sure the Murphy brothers along with Nate were at the UConn-Hoya game on the Hoya side. Could be a name to keep in mind.

Sleepy you are correct both Murphy brothers were at the game, as was I. Alex is someone you want to do more than keep an eye on. He will be recruited by everyone, and I mean everyone. He is a freshman now and may eb one of the top players in new England next season.
