Would you compare Thompson to another west coast Hoya, Brandon Bowman? Are there simularities or they are different in skill level.

I hope is not the bad/good part.
I know that Bowman was a stud for his hs team, but I don't think he was a top 25 player.

RDF, Reggie was tough and an exceptional rebounder, despite his slight build. Is HT in that mold or the other part of Reggie's game as well?

Is there verification that GU is no longer recruiting Isaiah Armwood or vice versa?

Is there verification that GU is no longer recruiting Isaiah Armwood or vice versa? id, I took what rivals listed for prospects to go through the tables to attempt to bring them up to date today. Here is the Armwood link with 'college choices': rivalshoops.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=54695&sport=2...it lists only Louisville, Maryland, Syracuse and Villanova. I do not subscribe to rivals, so if you have more accurate or up to date info let me know. In fact, I know you have better info on anything recruiting-related so PM me with omissions, errors, and updates (links too if you have them). ...scout lists: Georgetown, Louisville, Maryland, Syracuse, Texas, Villanova, Miami (Fl), North Carolina, Ohio State... so I'll restore those for now.

Rivals stuff is terribly outdated. They haven't updated in a while. GU is recruiting IA heavily.

I just updated the 2009 table and added a bunch of recruits that named GU as interested.

Dan, thanks for the hard work. The scholarship chart shows one 'ship left for '08 - are we saving that for the loaded '09 class? Looks like most of the guys we targeted for next year have signed, either with us or with other teams.

We will have a loaded team in 08... no more signings in 08 barring a pro turn from Summer/Sapp/Macklin with Summers being the most likely (even still i doubt we waste one on a Weslie Witherspoon, when we have a Riley, Thompson, McDonald class lined up for 09 but what do I know ... see Greg Monroe).

Summers is a longway from NBA lotto ready(IMO), so I do not think GU goes hard after anymore 08 kids. I like WW but if the current wings continue to develop, he is not really needed.
I know it sounds sick, but all of Gtown's commits for the 09 class will be at least top 25 players. I expect Gtown and UNC to have the 2 best classes in 09.

Agreed. Focus turns to '09, unless... That used to be referred to as a "pregnant pause". Or maybe a "tease". ID -- was up? Is there one more possible '08 signing out there trying to make up his mind?

Only possible signing I see is John Riek, and we all know how mixed up that situation is.......

John Reik, who so far has been referred to as '08, spring '08, '09, and going straight to the NBA. If it's possible, then hopefully that works out, but I wouldn't suggest anyone hold his breath.

You never know what happens by spring time. Every year some names seem to come up for whatever reason... Davon Jefferson, Scottie Reynolds, Beas Hamga and several others have been mentioned in the spring over the past few years. There's really no reason to ignore people's senior year in high school, because it's possible that a good player looks great or that somebody comes from nowhere and looks like a solid high major. I'm sure the staff will be keeping an ear out, and if anybody has a breakout season the staff will give them a look. Also, there will probably be some coaching shake ups at years end, and some committed recruits could be up for grabs.
You just never know. We are most likely done, but you can pretty much be positive that the staff will have an ear out and might give one or two guys a look before the end of the season.

What's the deal with our center situation? are we focusing mainly on Riley because some of the other bigs that have had their names come up are starting to get offers like Kyle Rowley
