Mr. BuffaloHoya, Thank you for what the youth of America tell me is called a "shout-out." I appreciate your acknowledgement of the work we in The Administration perform. The road to Righteousness is a long and harrowing one. I would like to thank you for providing us with some laughter over these past few days. We live in troubled times, and humor is often the best way to cope with our constant struggle against The Enemy. Your attempt to bring some joy into our lives will ensure your removal from The List.* As far as an internet forum is concerned, what we witnessed the past two days is nothing short of comedic genius. For that I applaud you, sir. I suggest we all take a moment to reflect on the happenings of the past few days, say a prayer for America, and return to work. We must strive, after all, to become a Nation of efficient, productive Citizens. God bless you, T.A.G. * = Were you interested in how your name came to be upon The List, you need only reference the post by a Mr. fatthew in this thread.

haha...once i realized the point of the thread I found it hilarious. I don't take myself as seriously as my post may have indicated. i just get flustered by people who think they're better than everyone else.
this thread has been awesome. I think personally my favorite part could be that it ultimately provided a forum for me to vent that Sonic has ads in Philadelphia but I had to travel to Georgia to find my first one.

Well played, until you asked for the Lock down, you shameless profiteer. Just because you have made your money doens't mean we should try to take this sucker to 20 pages!
p.s. Minivian ownership is not something to be confessed, it is something to honor.

OK, taking a cue from T.A.G., how about some lessons learned? I'll start:
1. Lots of Hoya fans have too much time on their hands 2. Buff is an evil genius...to those who still haven't figured out that almost every one of his posts has some form of sarcasm or ulterior motive. 3. I guess I shouldn't have bought a Motorola Q and 4. Only real men, myself included, have the 'nads to admit to owning a minivan.

As a HoyaTalk member once taught me, there is nothing funnier than mocking self-importance. Even if you're the one that is the butt of the joke.

Is what Buff did appropriate? I mean can we as an internet community tolerate someone coming on here with the intention of creating rancor and animus between fellow Hoya fans? It just seems wrong to me. Not Superman escaping war crimes jurisdiction or Charlie Daniels wrong, but wrong nonetheless.

What Buff did was genius -- mixing gambling and the Hoyatalk board? Two great tastes that taste great together.
And . . . it will fuel future speculation on off season threads (such as this one) as to whether the tread was started as a bet. Someone call Vegas, we are seeing the dawn of a new era.

Would it be possible to create an office-like gambling pool on the board? We can bet on anything basically.
I'd help run it. Who's with me?

Only after he's conveniently deleted all of the emails relating to betting pools at DOJ and the White House, of course.

The Minivan Crew Theme
I see Dads all the time hiding their face, Driving their vans while full of disgrace. I drive my van with pride - fist in the air, I crank Lori Berkner without a care.
Aint no halfsteppin' when it comes to my ride, 3 rows of seating and side doors that glide. You can keep your sports car that costs muy dinero, I got my Ford van with a 6 year loan at zero.
Check check the rhythm, check check the rhyme, Dora, Zaboomafoo and Baby Einstein. Dads of the world, I'm talking to you! Raise your fist and join the Minivan Crew!
WHAT UP!

I'll be honest, I can't decide whether the Minivan Crew is something to aspire to or my newest reason to die young.

What happened to this board? It used to be about simpler things - the beauty of a backdoor cut, why John Feinstein is a BUM, JG's chances for player of the year, whether Summers and Macklin would fit into the system, and our lack of respect from everyone.
What are we now? Why have we gotten to a thread that references ballroom dancing, Motorola Qs, paranoid government conspiracies, cars with sexual identities, and nonnational fast food chains? What happened to our roots?
Remember the simple joy of posting "Duke Nuked" screenshots and cute predictions regarding the Ball State game? What happened?
Where's my childhood?

BTW, I love the evolution of this thread.
From a Schrutebag pile on, to Sonic, to Minivan rap. Awesome, awesome stuff.

Never, ever again. And I am telling Mrs. Doublehoya what you think about her minivan. You are on the list, Cam.
