The one thing this offense has shown is tremendous flexibility. Two 6-9 small forwards can play together in the offense with zero issues, I think Greg and Otto proved that. Last year, Henry was our best player. The offense ran through him. When Chris and Austin were the best players, we ran more pick and roll and a bit more isolation. When Jeff was dominant, we ran the O through the high post. I'm not worried at all about recruiting redundantly. This offense caters towards whomever it needs to. Absolutely. If Morgan were to pick Georgetown, him and Copeland could co-exist with zero issues. The staff would figure it out and I'm sure they're telling Morgan the same. Just envisioning if Copeland puts in work in the weight room. Him in Nate's role ... drool.

Right now, sure. But in person, he looks like he could be 6'9" easy and has a frame that he could easily put 25-30 pounds of muscle on. I'm not saying he will, but if he does ... wow.

I think Copeland is a three at the college level, but if he put on the necessary muscle, refined his post game and welcomed the challenge of becoming a true four man ... *Steve Harvey eyes*

Have any of the local guys seen this kid play live? If so what do you think his lack production is a result of? More specifically is it lack of touches, assertiveness, skills etc.. One thing I have heard is he is really good defensively, any opinions on that? He's obviously skilled, but if you see him in person, he can disappear for long stretches of a game. He can handle, run the floor, is athletic, can shoot, etc.. but doesn't assert himself enough, in my opinion, on the floor. But make no mistake, the talent is there and I have no doubt he and Copeland could co-exist.

BTW, Coach Hunter was the lead on his recruitment.

Can you expand on any other observations on IC or any other recruits? Thanks. Deacon described him as GW with a consistent jumper… Similar frames right now but from what I've seen, right now, he has a better handle and jumper than GW and plays above the rim. Not the rebounder or defender though.

I have no doubt he'll be a five-star prospect after the recruiting sites see him this summer. Kid has future stud written all over him.
Fantastic start to the 2014 class!!!!

Since Otto didn't make All-Rookie Team last year, he surely should also be in line for Most Improved. He should actually be a lock for it.

He's not a big East talent but would be great at VCU I have no idea about Owens but I believe VCU would thrive in the BE old & new. To me if you say he'll be good at VCU, then he can play @ G'town.. Agreed. We'd all love to have Juvonte Reddic - who we recruited - at the 5 right now.

We are very good shape with him. Not so sure about that considering the Terps and the Runnin' Rebels are the clear leaders as of now. Depends on who you ask. We could be just as much of a contender as MD.

There were a TON of prospects at the game. I can't recall ever seeing that many at one game ever. Kudos to the staff but need to seal the deal. Deacon do you know if the staff meets with any of these recruits at the game? Are the recruits invited into the locker room before/after games? Yeah, that's normally the case.

The Duke-UNC game is at 9pm. Recruits could easily come to our game, hop on a flight and be in Chapel Hill for hours before tipoff.

You keep working him and hope for the best although he's also attending the Duke-Carolina game Saturday night.
I'd be surprised if it isn't Duke, but stranger things have happened.

Word on the street is it's a two-school race between Georgetown and Villanova, with 'Nova holding a slight lead.

I'd love to play UNC in the second round simply because they aren't a good basketball team. Take away the Carolina mystique and there's no reason whatsoever for this team to fear them.
