whatmaroon.....I got the same result as you....NO Hoya game on at 9AM PST Saturday. St Johns yes, but the #3 seed NO...Wonder if our moderator could let the athletic department know. Hoyas-CCSU is now listed on the streaming schedule for ESPN+ at noon ET Saturday.

Any streaming or TV for Saturday's game vs. Central Connecticut? None appears on the schedule which it usually does. The schedule page at GUHoyas.com is showing ESPN3 for me. If that's right, it'll be streamed on an ESPN platform, likely ESPN+. As of right now, the game is not listed on the ESPN streaming schedule page for Saturday (St. John's-Brown is listed, for one).

Props to Allie Augur, who had the key save on a St. John's breakaway with about 7(?) minutes left to preserve the shutout and the victory.

Sydney Cummings header off a corner kick. Hoyas up 1-0, 26:30 to play.

Scoreless at the half. I didn't see the entire thing (not on an NFL Sunday), but from what I did see, neither team had clear scoring chances. Our best opportunities came on corners, while the Johnettes' came in transition.

Perfect game, a dominating first half with a 4-0 lead and 17-4 shot advantage, and plenty for Coach Wiese to yell at his team about for the two goals conceded late.

For anybody else who was wondering, Friday's game at Lower Canada appears to be on ACC Network streaming video (not the cable channel), accessible to those of us who are ESPN+ subscribers.

2-O FT. Fortunate to come away with the clean sheet, but it was nice to see us adjust and show the difference between a very good team and a team with some very talented players.

Fernandez-Powell with a cracker from outside the box makes it 2-0 with 34 minutes to play. The commentator notes the Hoyas changed formations from 4-2-2-2 to more of a 3-5-2, trying to get more numbers back, and Texas hasn't been creating the same opportunities lately. Time to defend in numbers and counter, likely.

Tonight's game is on Longhorn Network, so I'm partaking for the first time this season. We've looked a little disjointed at times, I've thought, and Texas had a couple quality chances, but Augur has been up to the challenge with a couple fine saves. Going forward, Texas has had numbers and we've had a hard time really breaking them down. They're closing down space out wide when we've tried that (Royson in particular did adjust I thought and started playing quicker). But we found a through ball to Vicari, who was able to dribble past the GK and knock it in the open net, so we're up 1-0 at the half.

Jacob Montes will be playing for Waasland-Beveren this season. Belgium second division club, owned by the same group as Crystal Palace.

Game over, season over. I'll try to remember the third consecutive Big East tournament title and beating the tar out of Syracuse for the first NCAA win in 14 seasons, rather than the way it ended.

My reaction after 1H: how the heck has UVA lost a game? They've completely stifled us on offense and are doing a fantastic job breaking down our defense.

Final, 18-8 win. SU scored the first 3 of the fourth quarter, then got called for holding and had a player very much take exception to the call while it was being announced and got a misconduct call to go down 2 men (I'll spare Dan the editing of the audible-on-TV objection). Hoyas just killed time during a 3-man advantage in the final couple minutes.

Up 8-4 at the half. Turnovers that plagued us against Loyola haven't been an issue thus far. No assists on the 8 goals, unusual. Disappointing to give up a goal in final :15 of 1H, but just need to keep up strong play for another 30 to move on.

If 10 of 11 Marshall starters are foreign born players, what are your thoughts? Great strategy for a school looking to compete at a high level in an international sport or making a mockery of US college athletics? Both? What bothers me is not internationals, but that many internationals are older players. I mean, Seton Hall's All-Big East defender Luca Dahn turns 26 in July. It's not any surprise he's a really good college player, facing 18- to 22-year-olds. Dahn's a pretty extreme example, but it does seem common for internationals to be a couple years older than their US counterparts, and that matters. College hockey has some similar issues, so it's not unique to soccer.
