It was a huge win for a struggling UConn! That win in itself got them in the dance! Not to mention, it makes us look that much stronger! Congrats UConn!

I am a little confused as to whether to women's bball talk should go here, or on the Georgetown Sports board, where there is the season thread that Philly posted. I mean, basketball is basketball, so we can still talk about the women here too, right? I would think so. This is a big year for ladies Hoya Hoops!

If it was on the road, I'd agree. Don't see them letting up in front of the home crowd! I love this team!

JV still loves that one 3pt attempt per game as well as Sims.

Am I the only one who thinks Syracuse might be a little overrated? 15-1 is an impressive record, no matter what - but they LEAPT up in the rankings (I believe from unranked to top 10) on the strength of that early season blowout win over Carolina, which now looks pretty pedestrian this season. Otherwise, their big wins are Florida, Memphis and Cal - none of which are ranked at the moment. Can't wait to get our shot at them - and back on Big Monday, which is where that game should always be. As much as I hate to admit it, Syracuse is NOT overrated. Drop Nova and it's Texas, Kentucky, Kansas, and Cuse as the best teams in America right now.

Herb Pope shoots free throws like Macklin! He's a big body but very uncoordinated from what I've seen.

Just keep hatin' guys, mature and classy. Nikita gave full effort, even if results were often lacking, and he was an important cog in a win over Syracuse, which ought to get at least a little love - but of course it sounds better to take cheap shots at a kid, maybe you guys are just ticked off that he didn't stick around for 1 1/2 more years to be insulted and ridiculed. I am pretty sure Coach played him because he had some confidence in him, not because the BeloRussian mafia forced him to. Well said. He's a kid with ability and I feel still could've contributed to this team. Best of Luck to Nikita!

This game is hardly going to be a grey out. More like 40%/60% in favor of Duke. It's truly sad if you think about it. I remember 06 (I think) the pre game bars were loaded with Duke faithful and we were highly out numbered.

Three weeks ago the board was up in arms after that Temple debacle! Today we're crying over black jerseys and we're 8-0! Life is good!

I exhausted all superstitions last year. So far we're 3-0 with me wearing my New long sleeve grey Nike Block G shirt.

Isiah Thomas is the quickest guard we will have seen to date. This is going to be a tough test far from home with very little fan attendance. If we keep crashing the boards like we did last night, I like our chances!

A couple quick thoughts: 1. Great early December win against a ranked opponent. We clearly dominated on almost every aspect of the game. 2. Our bench is deeper than I ever thought we'd be this early. Quality play from Vee and Jerelle. I feel much more confident about us going into Big East play. 3. Our defense was more physical than I anticipated it'd be. Great to see Sims banging down low for boards! 4. Clark is a special player! My favorite Hoya by far! 5. Hollis looked a little lost imo in the first half. Would like to see him utilize his handle a little but is leaps and bounds ahead of most freshmen in the Big East. 6. Greg Monroe is the catalyst of this team! It is my hope that this is his wake up game! If it is...The sky's the limit for this team. 7. Chris wright needs to channel his energy and make better decisions.
