DFW, that's too much to ask for. They'll be at Duke-UNC that night and the end of Georgetown-Syracuse will be just a footnote.

I noticed that after Emily almost got knocked down she ducked into the inside, situated right next to her teammates Kirsten and Emily Jones.
Great job by the women, especially Emily and Amanda. Emily with wins in the mile and 3k and anchored the winning DMR. Amanda with a 3rd in the 60m and a huge 2nd in the 200 and then a part of the clinching 4X400 relay.

Emily wins the women's 3k. Springer with a great race breaking the meet record and finishing runnerup in the men's 3k.

Emily Infeld almost just got taken down in the 2nd lap. A Providence runner tripped and fell and clipped Emily who stumbled and almost fell but regained her balance. That could have been disastrous.

Oh, Kelsey Smith also in the race for the Hoyas. And Cincy has 86 points. They just added the shotput points.

Great effort by Amanda Kimbers to get 2nd in the 200. 3 events left. Cincy 80 Nova 72.5 Gtown 70 ND 65. We have both Emilys and Kirsten in the 3k. Nova has a rested Bogdana Mimic and 2 other runners. ND with 3 runners and Cincy with none.

The women's title is up for grabs. Cincy with 78, Nova 67.5, ND 65 and Gtown 61. 4 events left. 200, 3k and the 4x400 and 4X800. We have the least amount of points of the 4 but the most remaining potential scorers.

Chelsea, Rachel and Amanda all with nice efforts but came up just a tad short in their respective events. Emily left no doubt and put the hammer down and dominated the field. Men's DMR from yesterday really ran well.

Best of luck to Matt. Back when Matt was with the Hoyas, me and some friends used to rent a basketball court and one of the guys was a teammate of Matt's at Trinity University in Texas. He still kept in touch with Matt so we had some interesting Hoya conversations.

Nice. Just did a quick check at dyestat and they also have Giancarlo Sainato on the men's side and the women's side they have Haley Pierce, Samantha Nadel, Heather Martin and Rachel Paul. Heather finished 16th at NXN last year but was apparently injured this fall. Rachel Paul ran the Millrose mile the past two years finishing 5th and 6th (behind future teammate Nadel).

Love Team D. If it was up to me, they would be the #1 overall seed.

I think we move up to 10. No way are we behind Florida or Murray State. Maybe UNLV passes us and maybe Baylor drops behind us. We were 11/12 along with Mich State. They will rise with their impressive road victory over Ohio State.

I am starting to get a sick feeling in my stomach. We can't pull away. Every time St John's comes down on offense they get to the free throw line.

Some good work by the Hoyas on both coasts. Springer and Chelsea in particular.

Nevada, flotrack has videos of all the heats up. Two girls fell in the first heat and one of them is definitely a Georgetown runner. I'm assuming it was Rachel since i was expecting her to be in that first heat. It looks like she continued running till at least the 600-700 meter mark and then drops out. Rachel also ran in heat 2. I'm assuming since she fell and since she came here to get a qualfying mark that they let her and the other runner come back and line up for the next heat.

That does not seem right. Rachel just ran 3:20 in the 1200 at Penn State. Hopefully she does not have an injury. She is going to be needed for the DMR if we are going to challenge Oregon.

What Nadel's coach is doing reminds me of what is going on with Portland's men's cross country team. Base building and longer more deliberate runs.
