Put the beat down on them. They lost at home by like 20 to Cincy. In the next 10 days, we play home against SJU and on the road at Providence, with this team, it's time to expect wins.

We need to win this game and make sure we don't drop two in a row. Hopefully because St. Johns is lacking size, Henry can get back on track and rebuild his confidence.

Will say tons about this team. I expect us to come out with fire and put this game away in the frist half. If we can't take control, against a St. Johns team spinning out of control . . .

must win no letdowns play like we did vs cuse and can beat ANYBODY but this is the big east NO GIMMES hope the students come out to support THEIR classmates after a great effort at the dome FILL THE BOOTH ITS A LATE GAME not 11am so BE THERE GO HOYAS FLUSH THE JOHNNIES YES ;D ;D PS and hit SOME shots hoyas

No hangover, go in and take SJU out early. Henry needs to have a strong bounceback game and the rest of the guys just keep intensity level up on defense and the boards. The next two are MUST wins . . . period.

Some weeks, I wish JT3 would just hand the reins over to Coach Flo for a practice. Nothing but layup drills for a couple hours would be a good investment in the rest of the season.

Coach Flo's team makes III's look like Paul Westhead's Loyola Marymount teams scoring wise--so I'd advise against that. This team has feel of one that will bounce back strong and play a great game Sunday. Not even concerned about letdown or their confidence-if anything--it might show them that hype is nothing but talk--you still lace them up and play and since Cuse is a favorite to get to Final 4, then Hoyas should be feeling good that they can beat anyone--considering they didn't shoot well and found a way to not just be in OT but in game until last possession. 1 thing to pay attention to--SJU has 1 great offensive player/scorer (Harkless)--there is no reason at all he should be scoring Sunday until it's garbage time--make everyone else on that team beat you. III's teams have a bad habit of letting opponents best player torch them while not running enough sets/plays for their own hot hand in a game. Sharing the ball is great if everyone is in a flow-but if guys aren't making shots (Starks) then pass the ball to someone who is--there is a reason you are left open (Starks) and it's not because they forgot about you. |

Greg is going to have to start looking for his shot again...he is incredibly inconsistent on the offensive end, but I think we, as fans, have to accept the inconsistency...he is a GREAT defender when in the right spot but, again, when you are playing many freshmen on the court at the same time, there will be mistakes as shown last night.
Henry needs to concentrate on his role as facilitator. He is a gifted passer -- so much of our success resides in Henry making the right decisions in the high post.
Keep up the defensive intensity -- our length really isn't just a buzzword. It creates disruptions and causes turnovers. Don't lose your defensive assignments.

for those of us who came up in the 80s, this is almost a more natural rivalry even than SU. since it is one we are destined to stay with, I say we celebrate it by beating the living queens out of these kids

I do remember some st johns team in the garden who had like only .5 thats 0,5 or less scholarship players and BEAT US no gimmes NONE nadda . take no prisoners. and fill the booth anybody in the big easy can beat anybody and that includes our hoyas go hoyas forty minutes or more of hustle yup need that on sunday ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D and henry be mean tooooooo and stuff it in big guy stuff it in .
