Frink I've watched a few times , hustles and never takes a play off. Not sure how he fits with the squad we will have the next couple years , but he isn't a Center.

Ranney has 2 Jr guards (both will be McD AA's) and a couple Bigs that are HM ... The Hoyas were on a few players from that team. Not sure if they still are though. The guards may be KTY leans.

HE PLAYS ABSOLUTELY ZERO D ... Pass and not only that , he didn't pick us the first time around and I want kids that wanna BE HOYAS. He can shoot the rock and that's great , But I think the JuCo kid would be a Solid/better pick up. As mentioned above , he will go to Memphis as he was on that Penny Hardaway AAU team.

I'm happy to have a player Like Mac coming in simply because this kid wants to win and wants to get better all around. Am I calling him the savior? Not at all , but he will make this team better in practice alone and brings a certain edge to the team that I feel we lack. He doesn't have to be a star from day one and like any frosh coming in , will have ups and downs. I've never been one to say "This kid can't play on the next level" because I can name a thousand kids that crushed that theory and proved people wrong. Many who Gtown passed on for whatever reason and I refuse to get into that right now. I approach the Mac situation like this:
throw the "Level of comp" and "You-tube Highlights" .. out the window (trust Coach Ewing) Let the kid come in and earn his minutes (Kenner will be fun , but when the real practices start is what matters} Give him time to adjust (Physically and Mentally) Support the Kid (he wanted to be a Hoya and knows nothing will come easy or be given to him)
I feel Mac is up for any challenge and has said numerous of times that people always say "He can't do this and can't do that.." This kid is gym rat and has the desire to be great at what he does. Let him grow and give him a chance to help bring the program back with the rest of the kids that WANTED TO BE HOYAS. Coach Ewing and staff are out here grinding and have shown me they want to WIN. Coach Ewing is still learning and adapting to coaching on this level. The players appear to buy into what he's teaching and I've watched the team grow and get better as the year went on. I have faith that Mac will grow , adjust and Earn his minutes. He's adapted on every level and I look forward to him getting on that court and esp pushing the other guards to get better. It will take time , but I have faith. This post isn't directed towards anyone specifically , I'm just in the camp of "Wait and see" ..

Tremont Waters situation is irrelevant , the kid chose Georgetown at a time when things hit rock bottom. When we hired Coach Ewing , he made an attempt to bring Tremont and his circus act back - it didn't happen .. Oh well , I've been over it. LSU will end up on that list of schools being investigated and GTown won't. It's the way things go sometimes in recruiting and I'm happy where the program is heading CLEANLY. There are couple of guards that have re-opened their recruitment and some that will probably reconsider once the smoke clears from the FBI investigation. We have a solid squad coming back next season and I'm sure the coaches are aware of the pieces we lack or need. Trust the Staff and let the chips fall in place. No need to cry over spilled milk , the Hoyas will be fine.

That's right , I forgot about that Creighton game smh. None of us like losing , esp after the last few years of JT3's teams underachieving. I honestly think Pat will right the ship and I feel Jesse knows he needs another year on the Hilltop. We're adding some solid recruits and not losing much at all. This team's taking it's lumps right now and it's gotta be taking a toll but they keep fighting game after game esp on the road. This is a learning experience and these brutal loses will make both the players and the staff hungrier.

We have the pieces in place with Pickett , Derrickson and Govan. Blair will improve and so will Jagan. I like Walker and I think Mourning will be a surprise addition as well as the Kid from W&M. Mac , Carter and Josh are solid recruits and hopefully we can have some type of luck down the stretch recruiting wise. Something has to go our way in recruiting fast. Esp for the 2019 class

I feel you , I can't pin point the exact games .. but I've seen about 5 or 6 mosley "end of the game attempts" and none of them worked. Maybe he's the only one willing to take the big shot and that's not a good thing. I just wish he went strong to the hole like he use to do at St. Ants at will. AT least give himself a chance to draw a foul. It's water under the bridge now and I'm sure he will certainly work on making better decisions in these clutch spots. These loses hurt like hell , I can only imagine how the players feel. We should wins over Depaul Xavier Butler Cuse and Prov. The difference is (7-5 conf) and (18-4) ... off hand

Mulmore's D on guards is unwatchable , it's constant foul after foul because he doesn't move his feet. Then on O .. He penetrates and freezes in the paint which always leads to a turnover. Jagan needs to take it to the hole with force , that floater hasn't worked since his freshman year and he shouldn't be taking the final shot anyway. I would've rather seen Blair try to go coast to coast on that last play or that possession Jagan threw up that weak floater. This kinda reminds me of the JT3 teams where we saw players shy away from the ball when the shot clock ticked away. Which leads me to another issue on O , they waste so much of the shot clock for poor last second heaves. We need to move the ball faster and look for shots earlier in the clock. If Jesse or Marcus can't get position its like our O gets pushed out beyond the three pt line and we never get a good look when the shot clock gets low. Certain things are on the court issues that need to be fixed in practice. During the game these young kids get caught in the moment. It's tough to watch this team play timid with leads , we never put our foot on the opponents throat. We need some killers on this squad like Trawick. We need that leader that refuses to lose and wants the ball in his hands in clutch situations. Give Pat some time to get his feet wet. Not only recruiting , but also on the sideline.

I honestly don't believe that was the play that was drawn up (Cooley was a step ahead and is a very good coach), but I will say Mosley shouldn't be taking the last shot in any game period. It was tough without Marcus in the closing seconds , but these kids played tough all game. People calling out Pat for late game coaching have every right to. He's doing what he can with what he has and basically it's not much as far as guards. The wide-open three in the corner was the play of the game. Hoyas missed tons of FT's and once again turned the ball over in crucial spots. These losses are very frustrating indeed , but the team is playing better each game. Pat is still learning and has a long way to go. It's insane to even say he needs to go after his first year on the Hilltop with the team he has. I've seen improvement from this team that makes me feel positive going forward. When we have a couple reliable guards that make better decisions with the ball , these late games will turn into W's. I didn't set the bar high for Pat's first year or this squad after last year. Things will get better ..

My favorite story including Greg goes back to 2007 B.E.T in NY. We beat Nova 62-57 in the Quarterfinals , ND 84-82 in the Semi's and faced Pitt in the finals. The outcome as we all remember was the Hoyas 65-42 in a rout. This is when the fun starts! After every single victory Hoya fans filled CAFE31 in rare form the entire weekend. It was the finals that brought out the greatest time I've ever had in the many years of attending the B.E.T. After seeing Mr & Mrs Green as well as Jeff's uncle a few times that weekend , Jahidi and I convinced them all to attend Cafe31 victory party with fellow Hoyas fans. Many board members attended and crowd of Hoya fans was overwhelming. As soon as I got to Cafe31 , I clearly remember telling Jahidi "Hold on a sec brother , I'll be right back!!" At that point I pulled the owner to the side and politely asked him a huge favor. I said is it possible to purchase that entire bottle of Grey Goose Orange Vodka. He looked at me with a smile and said he's never done this before , but the HOYAS deserved it. With the entire Green family in the building and the place packed with many Hoya fans , we proceeded with all types of chants from "Jeff Greens Mom" "HoyaSaxa" "WeAreGeorgetown" and the list goes on. The icing on the cake though , Jahidi and I asked Mr. Green if it was possible to call Jeff after the great beat down vs Pitt. In which Jahidi and I got a chance to thank and congratulate Jeff Green and Roy Hibbert personally on the Phone. Those who were there that night probably have a better memory of the other events that took place because at this point many of us were wrecked. It was the Smile and Dawg Mask that made this night one to remember and I will forever hold a place in my heart for Greg. He was a great person inside and out. One of the biggest HOYA fans ever. He will be missed. (Shoutout to GIGI , MEGA , Sir SAXA , Forrest , DTrain and many others from HoyaTalk .. I'm sure we can keep Gregs spirit going at Cafe31 this year)

Exactly!! Obviously it Won't happen over night. I feel Coach Ewing will right the ship and Next season will be growing pains mixed with Flashes of what we'll be when Coach has a year or 2 under his belt. We still need a DMV stud recruiter or at least a young hungry bull that stays on the trail. Right now we can't compete with other schools on the recruiting trail due to a few reasons. The coaching change and the concern of what and how coach Ewing is planning to turn things around. Some kids don't want to take the chance or are given better options(use your imagination) . No sour grapes , just facts. I personally like the pieces added and think we'll compete this year but not be a factor. It's a process and I'm willing to give it some time (with the thought that Coach is hungry and focused on making GU relevant again.)
