Gonna be a battle - but if we play as hard and as well as the last 2, we take this one.

Watched Provy beat Marquette. They play old school. Only took 13 threes and only hit three. Almost everyone on the team is capable of taking you off the dribble and they love to score in the paint. Hope PE has guys working on zone defenses. Starting to think, after tonight, that only Nova game is unwinnable.

I will be there to witness a road win. That is all.

If the Georgetown team from the Creighton and Xavier games shows up, we can win this game. Providence is good, and they seem like the scrappy and tough team that they always are. Even so, they, like us, have holes. If we can just exploit those, we can win this game. If Blair and Pickett stay hot, I think it will set up a lot of options for Govan and Derrickson and (maybe) lead to a win.

Strangely optimistic about this one. I've watched PC a lot this season, and this is not the same team as we've seen in the past. The Friars are prone to long scoring droughts; we have to take advantage of them when they occur.

We can hang with most teams in our league. We just can’t close games out. Need a reliable player who can create for himself.

I really want this one. Badly. We have yet to win a Big East game against Provy since the new conference began. Limit the turnovers. Play 40 minutes. Surprise them.

We have to continue the turnaround. But given how we have played the last 2 on the road, I'm not sure how surprised any opponent would be by a Hoya win.

But we don't have to change much, just a play or two.

But we don't have to change much, just a play or two. That would mean we are continuing to improve; that playing for the BE title is still a viable outcome.

Have to learn how to win...great opportunity here... Exactly - the more opportunities in close games, the more they learn to play with poise. It will come - hopefully starting tomorrow.

Quality of play is improving. This will be the breakthrough game. I will be there for my one and only game this year.

I said before Xavier game I wanted to see 3 things: a strong Jesse; continued growth from Mosley, Blair, and Pickett; and another beastly performance from MD. We did all three and shoulda won. This game I want to see more of the same plus another low turnover game. How about a single digit turnover game? Like I said before the Xavier game, wins are great but this is a rebuilding year so I want to see some rebuilding.

I really want this one. Badly. We have yet to win a Big East game against Provy since the new conference began. Wait. I don't think this is true. It may be true. I have seen 4 games against the Friars in recent years and the only one we won was at home in 2014. Now that I am in my 50's not recalling if that was before the current BE formed but I believe so. Tonight is a test for coach and players. The past few games, since the Nova debacle, the Hoyas have played to the level of their competition. Must avoid the long droughts that killed them against DePaul and Creighton. Must also avoid the meltdowns at the end of the game if this is close. Hoping for continued quality from Pickett and Blair, the same Govan as against Xavier, MD playing as he has for most of the season and the mental recovery from Mosley after some tough end of game situations lately. Also hoping that Dickerson continues the improved play and that Mulmore and Kaleb find their way back into the offense.

Your memory was correct, we won home at home in 2014, but this was the first year of the 10 team BEast. We have lost all games since and currently (1-7) since the reconfiguration.
We did however own them for at least a 5 year stretch before that. Feast or famine.
