Nahziah Carter upside is tremendous! So much LJ Peak in his game. Extremely athletic! Reportedly has a 40 plus inch vertical. Put up great numbers this past weekend on the EYBL with arguably the best/deepest team in the circuit (City Rocks).
Has stated this week he is going to reclassify to the 2018 class. Was a Dayton commit under Archie Miller. Pundits believe he a heavy Indiana lean if he stays in the 2018 class in a move that would reunite him with Miller. No idea what Ewing and staffs intentions are but with 4 schollys left, I hope they make a hard run at Carter for the 2017 class.

Is this kid 2017 or 2018? SO CONFUSING! 18 but if he likes the fit, he's qualified to come early.. If he likes the school and they push really hard he probably would join this year. Speculating but AAU coach prob encouraged him to say 18 because that would increase his offers and options.

Glad we're getting a chance with him because we need him next season.

N Carter is a good player; Could be great if he keeps working. He is an Aaron Bowen with a better shot and wider wing span. Pretty good defensively

Glad we're getting a chance with him because we need him next season. Do we? How good is he? I would take him if he wants in, no doubt about it. I don't know how much he would help next season but a kid like him or Sodom (Both of whom I would like to add) would definitely pay off in a year or 2. Around that time you hope your HS recruiting has comes around.

Pretty good defensively Carter's got Bowen like athleticism but has much better handle than AB did at the same stage. No disrespect to AB (one of my favorite Hoyas over the last 5 years) but Carter looks more comfortable with his handle than Bowen did as a 5th year senior. As I've stated before, I see more LJ Peak than AB. He has some of Peak's ability to slash and get to the rim while finishing through contact off the bounce. He's probably not going to be as good as Peak was as a freshman but I think Carter's game and upside is similar.

He's got something.

The way that tweet is written (All caps and using the word cancelled instead of postponed) is saying a ton!

The report is, but tbat he sort of "re-shared" it is mildly encouraging. Fact is, with a few nice breaks, the outlook for the Hoyas could change dramatically. I am trying to keep my hopes in check, but I have this gut feeling Ewing, Kirby et al might just get stuff done and get the ball rolling THIS year, building to even better things. Then again, I am drinking right now.
