Everyone seems a lot more impressed with the SOS then me. I will take your word for it that it will be worth watching and not hurt our chances to make the NCAA's. I haven't seen anyone say they're impressed with it. Speaking personally, I wouldn't say I'm impressed, so much as relieved that it's not as terrible as last year. It's at the edge of what I'd consider acceptable for a coach's second year in a rebuilding program, and I think if we can finished 10-1 (or 9-2) against this schedule, a 10-8 BE result would put us on the right side of the bubble. I wanted to see improvement from last year's schedule, and I see it. If there's a similar leap in next year's schedule, that will be something to get excited about. Today, On September 7, I predict if you finish 10-8 with in the Big East and 12-1 against this schedule you will be in the NIT. The league is down. You’d have to go 12-6 to feel comfortable on Selection Sunday with this schedule. It is indeed considerably better than last years, but right now the only team predicted to be an at-large is Syracuse and under a 12-1 scenario that’s likely the only game you lose. If you think you have a chance at the Big Dance, this schedule isn’t good enough.

Maybe also why it wasn’t an official is I believe there is a rule to how many official visits a school can use over a two year period. They could’ve brought him in for an unofficial to gauge his interest and receptiveness to Georgetown while also seeing how he stacked up against the team in scrimmages before spending an official on him He’s already been on campus for an unofficial. Just don’t think he’s our top target on the wing

Unfortunately, word on the street is we haven’t been recruiting him as hard as some of the other schools on his list.
This visit would’ve been an official if he were a top-75 player

Wilson is a project. I think Wahab could step in and play as a back up to Yurtseven right away. Wilson I would consider redshirting if he isn't gonna play major mins. I know redshirting has been a contentious issue at times on this board, but I don’t see a way around Wilson redshirting. He has good hands and is more athletic than Wahab, but he can’t help until he gets stronger.

Looks like the staff backed off here for some reason. Haven't heard much about them being involved in a while.. Visited unofficially yesterday

Surprised. It might be a waste of time, but I’d go all in if I were the staff.
He will wreck defensive scouting reports with his ability on the offensive glass. Won’t need to have plays ran for him and he’ll still be a double-figure scorer. Unreal motor and elite on the glass. Doesn’t stay past his sophomore year.
Highlights don’t do him justice

Anyone know what happened to him, he tore his ACL and no other news has came out. Made a mistake over the winter. Will probably prevent him from playing organized ball for a while, if ever

Will be interesting to see what happens with his recruitment because he hasn't exactly been lighting it up this summer. Looks like he's playing with Team Takeover this weekend Wow

This isn't a criticism of Pat, but that isn't impressive at all considering the size of the class. Class rankings don't mean a lot, it's skewed towards quantity. Akinjo would be a great late addition and the best player in our class. Completely agree. I thought Pat would snag a couple of 5-star types right out of the gate just based on celebrity status. In fact, I absolutely would have been against hiring him had I known he was not going to enjoy that “shiny celebrity recruiting honeymoon.” While I have been pleasantly surprised with Pat the preparations coach (he still has to make a quantum leap with in-game coaching), I have been totally disappointed with his recruiting results. I laud his efforts, but have been shocked that his very presence didn’t lure a couple of big fish. Clearly, none of these kids remembers or sees him as Pat the player. I’m assuming this is sarcasm

It seems to me that what Georgetown is selling has about a 2 week expiration date. Outside of L.J. Peak (who we still don't know for sure if and when he visited or not before committing) I can't remember the last prospect who committed to the Hoyas more than 2 weeks after their last visit on campus. The longer this goes the less chance it seems Georgetown has. We will see as the clock is ticking on Akinjo post visit date... Leblanc
