I would think things will change when Jack retires. I hope you’re right. Because I believe (pure speculation on my part) that Jack likes to think seriously about the basketball situation as little as possible, only when absolutely forced to, and preferably no more that once every five years. And since we’re less than one year since he hired Cooley . . .

Couldn’t watch due to work. Did something happen to Rowan? He was absolutely pitiful in the first half leading to a 24-8 deficit. Game turned around after he was pulled.

Finally get a lead, play good defense and score again to go up three, and then

What is Brumbaugh’s +/- in this game? About -20?

Having lost their flexibility, pro-lifers are losing their cause Pro-lifers have been losing abortion referendums even in deep-red states, and abortion seems to have resulted in Republicans losing other elections, too. If you are a local Democratic official in a state that allows initiatives or referendums and you are not doing your best to put abortion somewhere on the 2024 ballot, then you are committing political malpractice. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/12/27/pro-life-dobbs-abortion-referendums-flexibility/Elections actually determining public policy positions instead of courts. What a concept. Conservatives are getting exactly what they said they always really wanted.

There have been many wide open players as Marquette does a soft double on the point guard, but Epps isn't looking. Many others aren't looking either. There is a low washer cycle running under the backet, but players aren't comming out. Bristol and Fielder up top have gone to pass to players coming out (Heath and Epps) but they didn't come out of the baseline run. Players have been open on the wings. Hoyas are blind to the wings tonight.I agree with the team being blind to finding open teammates, this was a team failure(coaches included) not solely or primarily on Epps in my opinion. What is our offense? We have no post-up players. We don’t try to run or get any fast break or easy points. We hardly ever set high ball screens. Our players don’t know how to properly run a pick and roll. Our offense seems to consist of having our PG dribble for 30 seconds or run a three man weave, both of which end up with a guard having the ball at the the point line with 5 seconds left trying to create his own shot. What’s next? A return to the JT3 reverse spin dribble 35 feet out from the basket?

You say that in a negative way. The fewer laws passed by Congress, the better.

I'm a Rowan fan. I think he could be an impact player by his upperclassmen years. But I'd be shocked if there wasn't an NIL/Transfer PG starting for this team next season. 0-5 shooting, 1 assist, 5 turnovers.

Montgomery over Ryan is just disrespectful. When you’re 7’2” and you get blocked at the rim, you haven’t earned a lot of respect.

Heath is at best mediocre in all facets of the game.

I'm going to be a broken record but we're 1 for 9 from 3. 11%. Teams in conference play especially are going to play us off the 3 point line. Have to get downhill more. No fast break points, and not a single basket in the paint from the front court players other than off of rebounds doesn’t help.

Supreme Cook has negative touch around the rim He shouldn’t even be in the game when we’re on offense in the final minute. Poor coaching.

This Georgetown team gets the fewest easy baskets than any team I’ve ever seen. No fast break points, no layups/dunks, everything is a contested shot.

Yurtseven start at center last night for the Jazz against the Mavericks. His plus/minus was minus 35. That was the best plus/minus of all five Jazz starters.

While the money grab desertion by Suckacuse has diminished the importance and fever-pitch intensity of the rivalry, let us never forget. Manley Field House is officially closed. The 1981 BET held at Syracuse; Syracuse students stealing the banner of the DC radio station airing the Hoya games and parading it through the streets - only to have it rescued by BC fans(?!) "Ewing Can't Read" signs and a banana thrown against the back of the backboard while he was at the line. Michael Jackson dropping 31 as a freshman to win at the Dome. Pearl Washington hitting a go ahead jumper with 8 seconds left, only to have little Charles Smith dribble through all 5 Orangeboys to hit the buzzer teardrop over Rony Seikaly. The Michael Graham slap/punch after Andrew Hawkins barely missed Graham's face with a wild swinging elbow wrestling for a rebound in 1984 BET; Froggy Paparo initially ejects Graham, then reduces it to a technical, causing Boeheim to later throw a chair and storm out of post game presser. Ewing banging Pearl for rebound position in 1985 BET, Pearl then punches Patrick in the ribs and Patrick retaliation punch misses the mark. Pearl last second jumper beating Hoyas at the Dome in '85. Pops gets a technical from each of the 3 refs back-to-back- to-back during first half in 1990, waves arms to booing crowd as he leaves the court. Otto Porter drops 33 at the Dome in 2013 to spoil Derrick Coleman jersey raising celebration. Never Forget. Crush the Orange. Never forget: "Amin would allegedly talk about their plans with code words. 'Syracuse' meant 'Syria,' and 'basketball' meant 'jihad.'"

Reggie and the Miracles vs. Ohio State in the 1987 Sweet 16. Met my future in-laws that day for the first time, only to have them see me screaming at the TV as the Hoyas went down double digits at the half. I was in a much better mood after the comeback.
