Friday night at 7 PM in Milwaukee. The Warriors are likely to be cranky hosts after their trip to beautiful Providence last night.

The Hoyas may be 0-1 in the conference standings, but if you told me last week we'd be tied at any point this season with Marquette, UConn & Creighton I'd have asked what had you been drinkin' or smokin'!

We get to play the other annoying defensive PG right after Posh. How many picks will Sean Jones have on Epps and Brumbaugh for lay-ups tonight.

Marquette is 18.5 favorites. We were 9 point favorites over American. Just shows how much closer we are to low majors than the top of the big East right now. Hopefully our guards take something away from their matchup with Kolek. Other than Kolek they aren’t the worst matchup for us. They don’t rebound well and they can’t shoot.

hoyatalk like a ray of sunshine Says one of the posters who almost constantly pooped on every thread for the past 5 years. Sheesh. Self-aware much? You're falling down on the job of your shtick of relentlessly complaining about people being negative if I have to step in and do it. We have reason for hope now and we are on the way up. I don't understand the complaints of "it's been 9 months and we're not at the top of the Big East yet, what gives". It's not going to happen this season, maybe just enjoy the ride we're on.

In an unfortunate direct conflict -- but which could provide a diversion during time-outs in our game or if God forbid it gets too out of hand to watch -- high school powers Paul VI (#1 in nation, per Max Preps) plays Montverde on ESPNU during the semis of the "Palm City Classic" tonight at 7PM EST. Montverde has the top recruit in the senior class (Cooper Flagg/Duke Commit) and another top 20 player, and Paul VI has got 3 top 100 recruits (the top 2 of which are also Dookies to be).

I never said we were gonna lose but every game we've had our PG get picked just bringing it up and today they go against the biggest on ball pest in the BE.

Kam Jones is as tough a matchup for any team as there is in the league, he's a legit 3-level scorer. Plus they're shooting over 58% on two-point attempts which is an area of concern for Gtown's defense right now. Defensively they're down some without Stevie Mitchell & Chase Ross twisted an ankle against PC so he may be hobbled as well which should help Gtown on that end of the court...

Sudden direct exposure to sunlight could well blind us all.

This could get ugly... here's to hoping the Hoyas make it interesting! If I was a betting man I'd take the Marquette -17.5. Last game of a fairly long road trip. BE opener of a top 10 team who came off an ugly loss. A team that likes to pressure the ball handlers no less which is a huge weakness of our Hoyas as has been pointed out many times. I don't recall who said we matchup well with Marquette- it likely was traversb or boya - because it's so far from reality. Hopefully we put together our best 40 minutes of the year- but I'm preparing myself for a beat down.

Of course it’s not a great matchup which is why we are 18.5 point underdogs. I was trying to provide a small bit of hope and yet still called too negative. The everything is great crowd is the most annoying on here because e they don’t provide anything other than next year it will all be fine with one new player and all the same main guys and I trust Cooley. As for why it’s the best matchup of the bunch they don’t have the inside presence/rebounding to kill us. I’d zone them up play Ryan more even next to Cook and tell them to crash the boards. If they hit 3 so be it. If we try to play them straight up Kolek is going to creat a layup like and alley oops all game. On the offense end I’d just do pick and pop. Shoot 40+ 3s and pray for the best. Hope to catch lighting in a bottle.
