he would be a real nice fit in sac town after they trade artest. He is perfect for that offense. I personally hope the Wiz trade up and nab him but that scenario is highly unlikely unless Brendan Haywood/Ethan Thomas grow a couple of inches this summer, attain a better verticle and as a result increase their trade value..

Before I say what I am going to say, let me preface that I am fine with Jeffs decision and wish him the best of luck and hope he goes high in the draft. I think he did what is best for his family and the lure of the NBA over college and classes is a very hard thing to turn down.
In all honesty though, I think that Jeff will fall out of the top 10. I see him going in the 12-15 range. Having watched Jeff throughout his career I think he lacks the aggressiveness that would make him stand out in the sometimes flashy (ooh and ahh) early draft pick stage where teams tend to take either players they think are sure things or take project players with big upsides or lesser known foriegners. I think Jeff will make a great NBA player and will turn out to be a really solid all around role player for a team, but in terms of his streaky brilliance to lack luster type performances, I see him being a guy where teams think they can let him drop a bit and grab him with a later pick. I could and hope that I am totally wrong, but I really think this is one of the strongest drafts in years and it would have done Green a lot of good to come back, showcase his skills for one more year and enter the draft as a wooden award nominee or winner next year. I cant think off the top of my head of a better forward than Jeff Green would be in next years draft. In this draft I have him maybe 5th best forward overall. Those are just my two cents. Im sure people will disagree and obviously it is hard to be critical of one of georgetowns best and my favorite player from the current team. I am just telling it like I feel it and I hope that he doesnt regret his decision if he drops a bit farther than expected.

I agree also. Does anyone know how workouts go? Like, what's the process as far as the kinds of drills, shoot-arounds, scrimmages, etc that they do?
I ask because I can imagine that Jeff's unselfish and sometimes deliberate style could get WAY overshadowed by your borderline street-baller, shoot first kind of NBA style players that are more accustomed to a higher tempo. Green will dish to an open man and look for backdoor cutters. Most other guys will drive to the lane, force a shot and draw a foul. Which one sounds more like the NBA? I know his basic skills are there, but it will be interesting to see if he can adjust and if he can do it quickly enough to stand out when it's that kind of competitive showcase.

Doesn't really matter...
Wherever he goes, they instantly move into my top 3 favorite teams. I hope it's New York...I've liked them since Pat Sr. got there.

even though though don't have a pick. He'd be perfect in the Suns offense. I say he goes to the Knicks at 9. Oh wait... they traded their pick for Eddie "friggin" Curry!! I hope he stays in the east also. He'll be much better on an established playoff team.

How should the title be phrased "Whence shall Jeff be drafted?"?

How should the title be phrased "Whence shall Jeff be drafted?"? Yeah, or you know, "What team will draft Jeff?" That would work also.

Workouts involve a lot of athleticism drills & shooting. ex. take one dribble from three and see how close to the rim you can get on your lay-up (FYI, Vince Carter dunked in his work out). Tons of shooting in all different sets. I think Jeff will do great in these because his athleticism will show and that is frequently not displayed in our games.

SI's newest mock draft has Jeff going to the basketball wasteland that is Charlotte, home of the Bobcats. I'd hate to see this happen. One part of me says that at some point this team will have to get good because of all the quality young'ns coming through there, but another, more forceful part of me calls shenanigans on this theory. To tell you the truth, I wouldn't mind seeing Jeff slipping out of the lottery into a lower Eastern playoff team, where he can become instantly relevant to a team with some veterans who can teach him a thing or two.
And as far as prepositions go, a good way to avoid having one end a sentence is following this model: Instead of "Where will Jeff get drafted to," one can write, "Where will Jeff get drafted to, bitches?"
