I agree also. Does anyone know how workouts go? Like, what's the process as far as the kinds of drills, shoot-arounds, scrimmages, etc that they do? I ask because I can imagine that Jeff's unselfish and sometimes deliberate style could get WAY overshadowed by your borderline street-baller, shoot first kind of NBA style players that are more accustomed to a higher tempo. Green will dish to an open man and look for backdoor cutters. Most other guys will drive to the lane, force a shot and draw a foul. Which one sounds more like the NBA? I know his basic skills are there, but it will be interesting to see if he can adjust and if he can do it quickly enough to stand out when it's that kind of competitive showcase. I got to watch the Wizards workout Mike Hall (GW), Chris McCray (UMD), Richard Roby (Colorado), and others last year. All they did was SHOOT the entire time. They really stress shooting. They did some ballhandling drills but for the most part they just shot.

Along with split infinitives, a favorite bugbear of the traditionalists. Whatever the merit of the rule — and both historically and logically, there's not much — there's a substantial body of opinion against end-of-sentence prepositions; if you want to keep the crusty old-timers happy, try to avoid ending written sentences (and clauses) with prepositions, such as to, with, from, at, and in. Instead of writing "The topics we want to write on," where the preposition on ends the clause, consider "The topics on which we want to write." Prepositions should usually go before (pre-position) the words they modify.
On the other hand — and it's a big other hand — old-timers shouldn't always dictate your writing, and you don't deserve your writing license if you elevate this rough guideline into a superstition. Don't let it make your writing clumsy or obscure; if a sentence is more graceful with a final preposition, let it stand. For instance, "He gave the public what it longed for" is clear and idiomatic, even though it ends with a preposition; "He gave the public that for which it longed" avoids the problem but doesn't look like English. A sentence becomes unnecessarily obscure when it's filled with from whoms and with whiches. According to a widely circulated (and often mutated) story, Winston Churchill, reprimanded for ending a sentence with a preposition, put it best: "This is the sort of thing up with which I will not put." [Revised 12 Jan. 2007.]

Jeff is not dropping past the Sixers. Even though I am no Philly fan, I would rather he stay east coast for selfish reasons. Charlotte, however, would really be disappointing. That franchise will not make the playoffs for another 10 seasons. Just not a good mix of players there.

the problem with being a lottery pick is you don't get to go to a good team unless for a rare situation. I kinda hope the wizards can trade up and pick him. Don't know if they have anyone good enough to trade up with but that would be my ideal situation. At least in washington he'd be playing on a play off team.

Anyone else bothered that the title of this thread ends in a preposition? ...no? just me? You are correct. A preposition is not a word to end a sentence with Well played, that

I was born in DC and have lived in the area my whole life. I think I would pee myself if the wizards got Jeff. I believe he is the perfect fit for that team. For all the talking heads conviction that the Haywood / Thomas situation will be resolved this offseason - there is no one out there to get. The bigs are either too good to get or too lousy to get. Given that getting Jeff to learn under Jamison and play alongside Butler and Arenas would be incredible. Jeff brings toughness to a somewhat 'soft' team as well as an incredible knowledge of the princeton offence. I know I'm dreaming here but wow - I might sign up for Wizards season tickets - or atleast a 10 - 20 game package.
They could pull it off too. Take the 16th pick +Hayes, and Thomas for the 8th or 9th and we could get Jeff.

Sorry gang. He's going to be joining the Bucks. Hopefully you'll all be able to catch him in action when you fly out to catch Hoyas @ Marquette.

All I have to say is I hope its an Eastern team as to maximize the chances of me being able to see Jeff return home to play at Verizon For Jeff's sake, God, please let him stay away from the East. Sunny California is the best place for him.

The Rockets trade up to get the NBA's next Scottie Pippen for T-Mac.

The Rockets trade up to get the NBA's next Scottie Pippen for T-Mac. McGrady would still find a way to lose--and then everyone would wonder why "T-Mac" doesn't get enough "help". What McGrady deserves is to have his distant cousin Vince Carter reunite with him and they can lose together and leave games due to: acne, eyelashes itching, hangnail, and from sweating too much.

Perfect message board representation of the confluence of academic/professional prowess and borderline nerdy appreciation of sports found at Georgetown. Fantasy football/baseball anyone?
