Heard that too, although they are offering differing points. At first they said that Jeff will stay in the draft, at least for the time being. (No mention of agent signing). A few minutes later they said, "Green will leave Georgetown for the draft." Maybe I'm being greedy, but I love the thought that Green could still return to school. There's talk of Jeff and/or Roy being on the show later on.
I'm still holding my breath.

I hear you guys, but regardless of how they are characterizing it, this has to be the definitive news. Jeff wont be saying that he is staying in the draft just for hell of it and then holding another press conference later. If he says he is "staying in the draft" now, that means he is going to the NBA.

If he says he is "staying in the draft" now, that means he is going to the NBA. Not necessarily. I haven't heard anything directly from the press conference, but if the gist of it is that Roy has made up his mind to stay, that's certainly press conference worthy. Perhaps Jeff just hasn't made up his mind yet? It's not like they both have to decide at the same time. And as soon as one is decided, I think it's appropriate to have a press conference. Am I wrong?

What happened to 70-30? I guess the 30% is winning out.

I had always thought that they had mixed up the 70-30 and 50-50 between roy and jeff in that article, personally.

jeff is going and not hiring an agent. it seems like he's in the draft at this point unless something crazy happens at camps like he gets destroyed by guys much lower than him and his stock drops.

(sorry I posted this in the wrong thread before!)
Everyone's speculating on Jeff but I have to ask... so Roy's staying (YAY!) what are they saying about him? Has HE said anything about why he's returning/announcing it now? I'd just be curious to hear him say how he made his decision and all that.

the Rumor mill was a buzzing this weekend:
Heard Green deleted and apparently Roy's g/f was telling everyone that he was staying, I heard all this on friday but wanted to hold it back.
Best luck to Green but we're getting the best 7 footer back in the country! I can't wait hang on the riverwalk again.
In deference to Mr. Green who apparently has not yet retained an agent, please keep unverified rumors off the board.

On Sportstalk:
--Roy wants to work on getting quicker.
--On Jeff Green: "A great player that I've known since high school [...] we'll have to regroup and work on doing all the things he did".
--Which guy to "imitate Jeff Green": Dajuan Summers and PE Jr.

Roy said "we're going to miss Jeff". Sounds pretty final to me.

I just heard the announcement on our local show. If it holds to form and Jeff does go to the NBA, then what does Roy's return do to your ranking and expectatoins?
I would guess you would still be a top 8 team without Green and no worse than #2 with.
