I was trying to read a little of their board, and they seem to be talking about TRoberts being injured. Can anyone give any information about that?

HoyaSaxa has the concept. Does everyone forget Rat Face McNamara and the BET last year? Last week this Board decalared, almost unanimously that this was our biggest rival. For the next two days the Hoya Basketball universe should concentrate one thought: beat, crush, wipe out, obliterate, embarrass, and otherwise humiliate the SUcks. BE standings, NCAA seeds, Jeff's possible early leaving, Finky Feinstein, and any other concerns should be forgotten. GO HOYAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, I was just on their board and it made me want to puke with their racist insinuations. They were teasing Georgetown about Patrick Ewing Sr. not being able to read. I wonder why? Here's a man who graduated and received his degree from a university that rivals ivy league schools; who once headed the players association; who has helped raise and guide his son to become the young man he, and we are all proud to be associated with--and they want to imply that he can't read. That goes BEYOND anything tasteful or playful between fans of rival schools and is simply RACIST, assuming that because one is a minority in color, he/she is innately unable to partake in, and excel in an education. WHAT LOSERS!!! Makes me WANT to SEE us EMBARRASS them BIGTIME on their floor with 30,000+ of those boneheads witnessing it in person. LISTEN UP SU fans, ONE COURSE at GEORGETOWN is of MORE significance than receiving a "degree" at SUcks!!!

LISTEN UP SU fans, ONE COURSE at GEORGETOWN is of MORE significance than receiving a "degree" at SUcks!!! Get used to it, 1984. As a lifelong Hoya fan (thanks to my old man, CAS '69), I've had to hear this my whole life NOT ONLY in upstate NY, but everywhere I've been. EDIT: The only time I never had to hear it was during my four years on The Hilltop, and even then it was all over the web, when I'd travel, etc. Don't even get me started on living in Boston for a few years... Look at the UMCP board, the Pitt board - this ignorant racist crap is going to come at us in droves the better the program gets. Its ugly and awful that people in this day and age take the time to write this crap, but its here and likely to stay. Just remember: your average American is dumb, ignorant and uninterested in learning about anything outside their little bubble of a life.

Yeah Buffalo, I guess you're right---it's just sad that everyone inside that carrier dome bubble need to tarnish what could and should be a great rivalry.

Ok.
First, this is SUcks and therefore incredibly important. Second, we have not clinched the regular season title so we need to continue winning. Third, SUcks needs this game for their tournament resume. Let's help knock them out of the NCAAs. Fourth, we need to approach this game as an opportunity to improve on defending the 3, limiting opponents O-fensive rebounding, limiting turnovers/handling full-3/4s court pressure. Finally, this is SUcks!
We CANNOT give them the satisfaction if being "the" team that ended our win streak.

We CANNOT give them the satisfaction if being "the" team that ended our win streak. I have been cheering for the Hoyas since I stepped on campus in 2002. In my relatively short time, the f'n orange have ruined two senior days in excruciating fashion, squeaked out a win b/c of Brandon's shoe size and beaten us in the BET in a way that will forever haunt my soul. THOSE BASTARDS DO NOT GET TO RUIN THIS STREAK ALSO.

After yesterday's win, tomorrow's game is, bar none, the most important game of the season. It's a must win because it's Cuse AND because it's our next game.
And anyone that knows me knows that I have taught my dog to go to the bathroom on the command "Cuse." And no, I'm not kidding. In fact, I'll be in the park today yelling out "Cuse" and again tomorrow. It makes me happy.

Roy needs to make 11 field goals to qualify for the NCAA lead in FG%

Vegas opened up with Hoyas -4 at Cuse and the line is now at -3.5
Should be a tight game and its huge for both teams.
Go Hoyas! Vegas still loves us baby...

ESPN Classic always airs a game from the Big Monday matchup earlier in the day. My Comcast cable guide tells me that it's a Syracuse at Georgetown game from 1991, which Syracuse won.
It's not surprising that espn picked a cuse win, but was there anything special about this game?

No ifs, ands, or buts, Georgetown must win and Syracuse delenda est. Of course, they are now messing with the weather that might make it hard for the Hoyas to get to the game (is that right you, right coasters?). GO HOYAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vegas.com line is now down to Hoyas -3.
With regard to the level of intensity of the rivalry, let me be clear: the Orangemen have to bleed. I don't care if the players are coming off an emotional victory two days before. I don't care if it's Cuse "Senior Night." (which should really be 4th-year player night, since I doubt many degrees will be handed out. Does Syracuse even issue degrees? Has someone checked their accreditation?) I don't care if they need it for their bubblicious resume, while the Hoyas are locked into a top-3 seed. The Hoyas need to win this game because it's Syracuse. You don't say "al Qa'ida won that round because they wanted it more." Why do the same for something even more loathsome?
Now, we know that for me to maintain my feeble claim to sanity, we need a Hoya victory. Let's talk about why we WILL have a Hoya victory. Here are 3 reasons:
1) These Hoyas, as they are currently playing, are perfectly constructed to attack a zone. Jeff is the perfect foul line player, and Watkins jumps off the baseline anyway. The high-low entry should dissect the zone. The Cuse zone has been shaky all year, and both Watkins and Roberts are prone to foul trouble.
2) Devendorf plays out of control. He's good for at least three turnovers on key drives and transition opportunities that could lead to breakouts for Wallace or Sapp.
3) The Orangemen are not deep. Matt Gorman is the only notable frontline sub. Paul Harris? He's either a 6'4" power forward or a shooting guard who can't shoot. Either way, we know Summers is the better Baltimore product. I like out top 8 over their top 8.
4) I know, I said there would only be 4 reasons, but I need to keep going. Cuse has very limited options driving to the goal. We've discussed Devendorf, but their point guard (whose name escapes me...Josh Wright?) is their only other penetrator. Dribble penetration has been our achilles heel all season (see Reynolds, Scottie). If the Hoya defense doesn't have to worry about penetration, they can play the soft switch on every screen and keep a hand in the jump shooters' faces. Sure, Nichols can get off his shot against a good defense, but can Rautins? Can Harris?
5) Are we sure Nichols isn't just Preston Shumpert wearing a little age-defying makeup? Has anybody checked?
Cuse hasn't played a team with the quality of defense the Hoyas are playing right now. In another ugly game, Hoyas win, 62-55.

First of all, McBricks, that is the most hilarious thing I've heard all day and I'm sad I didn't think of it for my dog...
Secondly, we NEED to win this game. This is Cuse, the biggest game of the year. They don't get to have the satisfaction of ... well... anything. We're deeper, more focused, more controlled and way hotter than they are. GO HOYAS CRUSH THE ORANGE!!

Both teams could be running on adrenaline tomorrow and have not had much time to prepare. Heck, we apparently flew out today if Camille's article is right.
Perhaps the best prep is just to pop in the Manley Field House tape on the plane and let the players remember just what it means to be a part of the rivalry and what needs to be done tomorrow night, come hell or high water.

For me the rivalries go cuse then nova then the huskies....
We gotta spank them and shut that damn crowd up there. But i am not to worried about this being away game, out boys have proven this year that they know how to play in hostile environments.. all the better for BET and then the Dance....

As a Hoya and a naval officer, I have two main enemies: pirates/terrorists, and SUcks. I remember last year's BET. I also remember being present at last year's awful game vs USF.
We need this game, not just for the fact that it's the Asexual Orange, but because we need to go into the BET without a monkey on our back (that goes for UCONN too). Stay focused- let's be highly motivated and efficient citrus-hunters. We will silence them at home and move on to UCONN and then the BET. Take no prisoners!
GO HOYAS, SQUEEZE THE ORANGE!
