Swarming to the loose balls and owning them is Georgetown basketball--with Sapp, PE JR, Wallace, we have guys who will sell their bodies out and dive on court for a ball or scrap and fight. That is what was missing around here for a long time--way too long to be honest. Not just a player either--team getting after it. And Roy was on the floor diving for loose balls more than once!

from the Hoya article sidebar www.thehoya.com/sports/120506/sports16.cfmNews and Notes — Georgetown’s dominant play early featured some up tempo basketball, not often a feature of the more deliberate Princeton offense. As the post-game press conference came to a close, Thompson asked his father, who was standing in the back of the room, if he had anything to add. Saying that he had noticed an increase in tempo, the Hall-of-Famer quipped, “Did you decide to abandon the Princeton bull for a day?” only in Georgetown, kids, only in Georgetown hoya saxa

Pelosi's husband is a Hoya, and three of her five children went to G'town, as well as her honorary degree (she was graduation speaker for the SFS around 2004).

She spoke at 2002. Christiane Amanpour was 2004.

We were in Pelosi's district during late December, as we were in Golden Gate Park in SF. Her biography says she graduated from Triniity in DC in 1962, when her husband graduated from GU, I guess a classmate of Tags.

That was the most inspiring game I've seen us play at the Phone Booth in a while. From tip to buzzer, you could feel the intensity coming from the court, even toward the end when the game was well in hand. Stoked doesn't begin to describe it. Everybody else has given their analyses, so I'll just share my elation! Go hoyas!! Classic line from II I was happy to see the new speaker of the US House of Representatives, and the first woman to hold the position, at the game yesterday accept a WAG shirt. I thought the boos were weak-sauce. I would have cheered regardless of that person's party label, political affiliation, or political ideology/philosophy. This is especially true given Rep. Pelosi's family connections to our school. If we come out tomorrow like we did yesterday, I'm feeling pretty good about giving the Wildkitties a case of the Mondays.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned previously in the thread, but Pelosi was also at the Tomb's on Sunday afternoon having lunch with one of her sons.
