Tough crowd. Heath is suffering from serious turf toe. He’s not healthy and has lost a fair amount of his speed from last year. I’m not sure if he will get better this season but lay off the kid.

He can play within himself then and not try to do too much. When it is not working attempt to play D, facilitate and rebound.

What does turf toe have to do with three balls intended to be lay-ups ending up hitting the top of the backboard?! It’s like he has butter hands. As a matter of fact, tonight Heath was moving and sliding very effectively all the way to the basket.

Sorry Eddie, baby, LUV U but this ain't Providence, people here have lives and jobs and stuff...present company excluded (well, I do have a job and a life, but I am also a SICKO).
Schedule better games at better times and more people will show

Schedule better games at better times and more people will show Ed Cooley and staff are learning and adapting on the job. They should know better than to schedule three games (one vs our all-time rival, one cupcake and one away game) during Finals Week at an academic institution like GU. It stinks of accommodations. While we’re at it, can anybody recommend a great Italian restaurant in DC to the staff?

I am at the game and there could not possibly be 2K people here. Even including the people working. Hard to blame people for not being here at 8:30 on Tuesday. This game really should be at McDonough….could be a break for students. There are maybe 50 (very hearty) students here and no band. In my experience when the band does not show up inobidy else would either. in previous years they hired a local high school band budget cuts?

Is there a contractual agreement why we can’t play these non-conference crappy games on campus? Genuinely curious if it’s a legal thing or just us being idiotic.
Loved what I saw from Rowan, Fielder, and 2nd half Styles.

CSU is so bad, that a 17 point win versus them hurt our already low computer numbers.

So Cooley couldn’t find a couple of minutes for Ryan ? Ridiculous At this point, I am totally not concerned with getting people minutes. The team that will be playing critical minutes to try to win games isn't cohesive right now. Need to get that first.

Cooley mentioned in the presser he has an early flight this morning to do some in person recruiting. Hopefully it's to follow up with Trey McKenney. We really need to close that recruitment.

I liked the way the young guys played. Cook also. They need more out of Heath and Massoud, though I am not confident Massoud is anything other than what he has shown. Personally, I would like to see more of Fielder and Bristol and much less of Massoud. BIG game saturday. Hopefully, Epps is back.

No, I’m seriously telling you that he was moving just fine in traffic all the way to the basket and that losing the grip on the ball on layups and hitting the top of the backboard at least three times has nothing to do with turf toe. Are you seriously connecting a bad grip with turf toe?

It's so quiet in here you can actually hear everything the ref says. Eerie. i was sitting in front of the guy yelling at the refs There were refs at the game last night??? I assumed that they stayed away like most everyone else. As someone who always believes in letting them play, last night was a bit of a joke. Fouls--particularly in the lane on drives to the basket were uncalled for most of the game. You could see Hoya players looking up in disbelief as they got hacked and bumped under the basket all night. Someone woke up the officials at half and they at least made their presence felt somewhat in the second half. Add me to the small minority who feels that Ryan should have gotten a couple of minutes last night. With the BE games coming this team is too small and there are going to be games with foul trouble on the "bigs" and Ryan will have to play. After a handful of games I think I was wrong in believing that Massoud is going to be at least part of the answer for our size issues. He really is a 3 and loves to live on the perimeter. Would like him to spend more time in the lane taking mid-range shots.

I have watched Heath play over the last few years (at various schools) and while I never thought he was a "star", he was always a very capable player, especially offensively. The guys could always find a way to score the ball. He does not look like the same player right now, and I have to believe he is fighting through some physical issues and doing what he can do try to help an undermanned team in his last season in college basketball. I hope his turf toe situation improves because he could be an important role player who helps this team down the stretch, if he can get back to his old self.
