Can you just let it go for five minutes? I understand why you felt the need to drag Cooley, constantly, before the hiring was announced. But he’s the coach now. You can’t stop it from happening. Maybe save the criticism for when we actually lose some games or miss on recruits, rather than repetitive character attacks and obsession over his record at PC? Maybe? Please?

Coaches never do this -- except Shaheen (Ndefo), Gates (Hodge), Shaka (Ellis)...

Not sure why you're mad at me - it's the $6M man that's showing his true colors. As a Georgetown alum, I'm not only disappointed in the result, but I'm extremely saddened by the ethical hoops people are willing to jump through in order to justify the administration's and Cooley's actions.

And you are entitled to your opinion. I won’t begrudge you on that. Question is will it continue to be your theme on every post, to rip into coach/school/recruiting? Will you move on and not bring it up?

As a Georgetown alum, I'm not only disappointed in the result, but I'm extremely saddened by the ethical hoops people are willing to jump through in order to justify the administration's and Cooley's actions. The die is cast at this point. Prior to the hiring I could understand that you're trying to influence the discourse and get popular opinion around to your POV in hopes that the school would go another direction. It didn't work. He is the guy, so your choices as a fan are basically a) come to grips with it and root for him even though you argued fiercely against it or b) distance yourself from the team (or the sport) until such point as he is no longer the man in charge. If it falls flat and a couple years from now it seems like we made a mistake, then by all means feel free to push this same agenda in all your posts. But until then, none of the rest of us wants to hear it. This place has been consumed with negativity for years now. There is no point whatsoever in continuing to beat the same drum when we literally JUST hired this man today. It accomplishes nothing other than annoying everyone. And I'll just add this--as incomprehensible as it may seem to you right now, it's totally OK for you to say "OK, fine, my POV didn't win out and I'm going to let this play out a while and see what happens." It takes a big man to do that and sadly few people are willing to do that kind of thing. They get so entrenched in their opinion that they'd rather the new coach be a bust so they can say they were right rather than it working out splendidly and having to admit they were wrong. It's OK to hope for the best for Cooley even if you don't love the hire. Nobody is going to throw it back at you. Today is a new day, and all slates are wiped clean. Anyone who is truly a fan of Georgetown Basketball should be rooting for Ed Cooley today, regardless of where you stood on him yesterday.

Dual is Riley just younger. I’d like to see what Cooley could do with Riley.

There are no ethical hoops to jump through. Georgetown identified a target and hired him.

Would love Dual, Felder, and Hopkins/Carter, then go clean up in the portal Ed.
Need to keep Riley, Murray, Akok, Heath, Ezewiro, and then let’s build on top of that foundation.

Please let Murray and Ezewiro go. They are not winning basketball players. Ezewiro doesn't even attempt to defend. Murray wants to play hero ball (along with Spears).
Heath- Im on the fence about.
Lets actually build a team that plays basketball to win and not go try and see if they can score 20.
Anyone know why Eddie Lampkin is so highly thought of? He just seems meh to me.
