2-18 and 16.9% chance to go winless. kenpom = optimist. 2 victories? I don't see it. How about an 0-40 streak?? How deep is the sand in which Jack D's head is buried?? It’s cumulative probabilities of all the remaining games. It’s actually 1.5 wins and a third of that is in the DePaul home game.

I could see two wins if we are healthy. Two seasons without a win seems almost impossible.

Now what? He's set a very low bar for himself. He ekes out one win and he can say, "See, I told ya so!"

Just you wait until we get Murray and Heath back. We’ll win just like in the first part of the season against the OOC “cupcakes”… oh, wait…

Apparently it’s in the University charter that you can no longer fire a coach until he/she has completed two winless seasons in conferences play. Jack’s hands are tied on this one.

This is quite a down year for the conference so there has to be a win somewhere… right?

He will get fired. That’s a guarantee. I think he’ll actually resign to save face, admitting failure. But it won’t happen during the season. But resigning means he gives up a ton of money that he's owed by the letter of his contract extension, correct? Given that, I don't see how you can argue that he'd resign. He should have resigned long ago if he was going to do that. I think he's being advised not to resign so he can collect everything he's owed and I think he believes his mentor, JT2, would have wanted him to act that way.

At best, Falk works out a deal where PE “resigns” but walks away with all the money. To repeat a comment I made earlier: if he doesn’t then turnaround and announce he is giving a huge amount of that (like 7 figures huge) back to the University via a scholarship fund or some such it will tell you all you need to know and I for one will hope he never returns to the campus again…

He's arrogant enough to come back though, I think we'll see him. He needs the adoration of the 60+ year olds at reunions for the next 20 years who are the sheep who helped put him in this position in the first place.

So far anyone betting against the Hoyas on the Moneyline and the spread in the BE is 13-1. I really wanted to do it all year but couldn't stomach it. That’s why I’m eating at Luger’s tonight while you’re having Shake Shack. This is the first Georgetown team that I feel absolutely no allegiance towards players or staff. I root for Riley and Anglin. I spend the most of the first half of games deciding when is the right time to make the correct live bet, money line or spread to maximize my return.

Agreed, though the idea that he has any obligation to do so is absurd. hm

Pat help build the men’s basketball program as a national brand. He can come back on campus regardless if you like it or not. Big John had the vision and got the number one recruit in Patrick Ewing the rest is history. Pat is always welcome back to Georgetown University.

And Esh was going to coach for 30 years… Pat probably still has a rapidly shrinking reservoir of good will with the 55 and up crowd. After that, not so much. And as for Big John and the Thompson family, enough already.

And for context, if I'm not mistaken, Elvado is a Class of 1985 guy himself. He's not some young kid who doesn't remember the glory days of Ewing the player.
