Ewing leads the Big East over the last 6 seasons in moral victories...add another to the list... It could mean something if he recognizes what took place tonight during the comeback. Less(much) Wahab and more Brad, I’ll live with the ups and downs

If Ezewiro isn't starting at Center next game then we're not watching the same sport.

Thought the tv crew on ESPN+ was excellent.

The only positive is learning that we are better with Ezewiro than Wahab.

The crazy run in the 2nd half was really good to see, but can't let defense lose focus like it did and get away from the discipline that worked well. Also started forcing shots and poor shot selection.
Heath had a bad night compared to what he has done. Mozone was the counter weight to that gap.
Needed Anglin in the game a lot more as he gives more scoring (when off ball and far better decision making than those getting minutes) more solid defense than those he fills in for.
Wahab being off court helped on defense and opened the offense a bit.

How tall is Ezewiro? He's doing everything we want Q to do.

Murray's body language sucks...I am not even sure if he cares if we win or lose.... He does not - Murray is not here for Ws/Ls. MOD WARNING: This is not the first time you have made an insinuation like this about this player. This will be the last. The next one will earn you a posting vacation.

A 14 point loss is much better than I thought. Good stuff

How tall is Ezewiro? He's doing everything we want Q to do. Listed as 6'9" and 250, but he is about the same height as players listed as 6'7". He boxes our really well and battles for balls near the basket, which is good. Akok has been the top rebounder in every game. Hoyas have been getting destroyed on the boards, tonight 41 to 23. Mutombo has a rebounding pace similar to Akok. Brad reminds me of Jahidi White, but more athletic, but same toughness going all out for rebounds and at the boards.

How does it go from 62-61 and get to 77-65. Jesus. A game of runs, streaks, Rich Chvotkin says.

As far as good teams go Texas Tech is a decent matchup for us. They don't shoot a lot of 3 and aren't great shooters. they don't play too fast so could be a slog. They have a good D but we play 1 opn 1 regardless so that shouldn't matter too much. I don't think we win but I gobbled up the 18 this morning. Here's hoping for the best. Easy money

Don't remember the last time any team of mine lost by 14 and I felt this good about it.

Wahab now has 1 assist in 8 games, which is behind his woeful pace in his last season under Ewing in the 2020-21 season, when he had 5 assists in 26 games.

So...
Can the coaches and players watch the tape and articulate exactly what they were doing during the erasure of the 23 point lead and integrate that into their play throughout the game?
Can PE work the rotations and substitutions to keep fresh legs out there, and let us see Denver, Ryan, and Jordan -- even some D'ante Bass???
Will PE pull Primo at the first sign of hero ball, over dribbling, and multiple forced shots?
Will PE and the coaches accept that Q is very limited and play Bradley more?
Forget Murray's body language and apparent attitude -- when it comes as he's turning the ball over and playing sloppy, it's bad optics. But I'll take 15-20 points, solid D, more assists and fewer turnovers anytime and he can be as sour and dejected as he wants.
I was really dejected and then elated and then disappointed we couldn't stay with them for the last 3-4 minutes. Ups and downs -- I'm sure there are lots of explanations.
I will be going to the SC and Siena games -- hope to see you all there.

Is it possible that when a team is up 23 points they might let off the gas a bit?
We certainly played better during that run, but as soon as we got back into the game they turned it on and we lost by 14. To me our run was the outlier in this game.

Give a lot of credit to Ezewiro coming in and giving us some positive energy on both ends of the floor. That coinciding with a short hot streak by Good Primo got us back in the game. But man, if the ceiling to get frontcourt minutes is to simply play hard on both ends of the floor, what the hell is Q doing? Akok didn't have a good game by any means, but at least the effort was there. Q has a lot of soul searching to do at this point. Do we want to Editeding play basketball this year, or is it time to pack up the bags and earn a living take up space in some Eastern European paint? At this point, I'm tired of talking about playing with pride.
Liked what Mozone brought tonight. Something to be said for hitting open shots and shooting with confidence when in rhythm.
Our backcourt runs so hot and cold, it's maddening. But regardless of how many points they put up, their success will be defined by their ball security. 13 turnovers between Murray, Spears and Heath is just not going to cut it. The traditional Hail Mary press down double digits actually worked tonight and both sped up TTU and forced some turnovers, but if you're still basically even in the TO column after forcing 19 of your own, that's not good enough.
41-23 on the boards. Batcho absolutely gouged our frontcourt. It's one thing to die by the 3 as we often do, but the game wasn't lost there tonight. It's about doing the dirty work necessary to earn extra possessions and not be forced to shoot 55-60% from the field to win. Akok not a great matchup for someone with the size and strength of Batcho, but again Q can't show up for light cardio for us to have a chance to beat a good team.
At this point, I'm not looking for signature wins. It's nearly 1/3rd of the way through the season. Staff needs to figure out a rotation that works and where people know their roles by now. The constant strategy of throwing whatever you can against a wall and seeing what sticks and then riding with that group until total exhaustion is not a viable strategy. By now, they should have an idea of who can contribute and who can't and what combinations are more effective than others. That they can't even accomplish that has been and remains a massive failure.
