So we are now KenPom 154, just behind someone named Tarletan State but still ahead of South Carolina at 158. Sienna languishing at 203, so surely….Nah…. Siena is 52 out of 159 from 3. 37%. We are in trouble . . . Are you going to the game, you masochist you?

I will be there as well — like SSHoya, gonna ride it into the ground, sorta like Slim Pickens at the end of Dr Strangelove … Fact that a very nice former work colleague (easy on the eyes too) is in town/willing to accompany me seals the deal. Such things are really the only reason to bother anymore…

P.S. Fact that Donald Carey is starting for the now undefeated Twerps at one point would’ve been aggravating. Now I’m just happy for him — deserves it…

Only power conference teams below us in NET are Cal, Louisville (both winless), FSU (1 win) and South Carolina
Of the teams we've beat this year:
Coppin - 212 UMBC - 241 La Salle - 269 Green Bay - 360

I don’t have the resources or patience to definitively do this myself, but does anyone know the KenPom at the time we beat them of our “best” win since the start of last season, other than SU (I think around 80 a year ago)?

When we beat Syracuse last year we were 108 on KenPom. Not only are we the worst Power 6 team defensively, it is not close. We are 243 on defense. The next closest, Oregon State is 28 spots above us. Ewing is a horrendous defensive coach, which means we simply cannot win many games. It’s not the players, it’s the coaching.

Longwood is the second best win of the last two years as measured by final KenPom ranking. They were #204 at the time of the game and finished #145. Other than Syracuse last year, the best “at the date of game” win we have is LaSalle this year at #183. In fact, that is the only team we have beaten, other than Syracuse, that was better than #201 (UMBC last year). When you dig in, the picture, one that is already extremely ugly, gets worse.

Thank you. And sorry for the ambiguity (which you correctly decoded): Wanted to know the KenPom of the vanquished foe, not ours.

As Patrick Ewing will say, wait until next year and his brand new roster.

As Patrick Ewing will say, wait until next year and his brand new roster. Well, that's what you do when you cannot trade for new players like the NBA, and once you have identified the players' mistakes, shown them, and have no idea what else to do.

I'm starting to think that LeBron, Steph, Giannis, Booker and Embiid could all show up to play for Ewing and we would still stink.
