Play hustling team defense and rebound, or sit next to the coaching staff.

If this team is going to click, it needs to happen now. This team needs something positive to happen. I hope they get a win.

What happens with another loss? Not sure he survive through Christmas. He survives because he is Patrick Ewing and a prominent link to the "family" the administration is so in love with. They care far more about that than about performance, athletes' academics, multiple disgruntled transfers and dropouts from the program, or anything else. He's not going anywhere unless he wants to.

And he will not leave without every single penny he is owed. If he learned anything from Big John, it was to get paid.

I wonder what kind of shorts he will have on. I can't ever remember a head coach wearing shorts to coach a game. At least look the part. He looks and acts like he can't coach.
Oh, that's right. He can't.

Play hustling team defense and rebound, or sit next to the coaching staff. Agree but unfortunately we have developed a "star culture" in this program where certain designated "stars" get a very long leash and are allowed to play themselves out of whatever mistakes they are making. I am so tired of watching this "offense" with ball dominant guards who seemingly cannot remember to share the ball for more than a few minutes per game. I call it "my turn" offense and others have said hero ball, but whatever it is I can no longer stomach it. I am also tired of a coach that was such a great defensive player and cannot figure out a defense that guards the perimeter. Either he does not know how or cannot recruit the right players. For 40 years I have been fanatical about this team. No matter how mad or frustrated I get, I am always there for the next game hoping and praying for a win. I strongly opposed hiring a legendary player with no college coaching experience, but have come back over and over again waiting for the magic moment when the light goes on and he can transfer his greatness as a player into being a great--or even good or decent head coach. It has not happened. Game management is atrocious. Use of the bench atrocious. Holding the stars accountable for going rogue, playing selfishly and taking plays off on defense--atrocious. Big John had some simple practices--when a player, any player (with the exception of Iverson), went rogue or wasn't playing hard, they sat. They sat for a minute or two or maybe a game, but they sat. I am certain most hated it and I am certain most learned from it--or they left. It worked. Ewing is not Big John. He never will be. I won't be watching the game Sunday. I need a break as I have reached my breaking point watching the same mistakes and falling for the same off-season hype about the incoming class. I hope they win. I hope they turn it around and save the season and even the coach's job, but there is very little reason to believe it can or will happen.

He has no clue. Pat is not a student of the game. This is what we’re stuck with for $4,000,000.00 per year. The joke’s on us.

I hate saying this for the kids and coaches involved, but I’m actively rooting for as much losing as possible (with the exception of the Cuse game). It’s the only way this thing improves. If we win a few and go 10-21 what’s the point? We all know the person in charge can’t improve the program so anything that extends his stay (ie a few more wins) only pushes off what needs to happen more.
Losing big and often might force something sooner than later. And it actually may benefit our student athletes who could turn around their careers without wasting more time under this regime.

I feel like a total chump for supporting this team as long as I have. I’m done. And I am an alum and I grew up supporting the team in their glory days because my dad was also an alum.
It’s not about basketball right now. The University wants you to support this team so that they can pay incompetent friends and family of the team who wouldn’t be employable anywhere else. I have better things to do with my time and money, than to support a fading crony empire. If the university doesn’t care about this basketball team being successful, why should anybody else? It’s one thing to support a team that is struggling, but still wants to be good. But this isn’t about that. If you support the team now, you are just being used.

I have been an avid fan since 1977 and a graduate of GULC but, for all the reasons others have posted, I am ready to move on. On my way out the door, I will sign any petition that calls for a new coach. It's probably too much to ask that they s...can Ronny as well but what the hell, let's ask.

Once upon a time LaSalle along with St. Joes were nationally prominent programs. Hmm... private Catholic urban schools without an on campus arena. It can happen here -- or maybe already has.

Roc I will give you this, I appreciate the positivity but as a complete diehard myself I threw up my hands last night and have finally and absolutely given up on Ewing...to be honest after 5+ years I don't know how you haven't. I have been critical of Ewing, last year was a disaster but I don't know why but last night hit me in a different way. For a fan that lives and dies with every possession for the last 30+ years I became indifferent to what was happening on the court last night and that's truly sad...

Play hustling team defense and rebound, or sit next to the coaching staff. Need to move the ball on offense or sit next to coaches or the water cooler.

After year 4 of no real changes it should’ve become obvious he has no interest in learning the more modern college game so just here for the check and to be stubborn, I would be so embarrassed after the first few years that I would’ve locked myself in the film room breaking down every single possession to figure it out or just resign
