“When it first started to pick up really heavy it kind of hit me — it smacked me in the face,” Miranda said. “Once I realized how it was and how they were going to come after me, I think I was prepared more. “People were telling me they were going to come after me hard and say things that were going to make me want to commit the same day. Knowing there’s a bigger picture and staying grounded has helped me through the whole time.” Georgetown, Syracuse, Georgia Tech and USC all extended offers to Miranda during his junior prep season. Oregon, Louisville, Arizona State, DePaul and UCLA followed this summer. Miranda said the Hoyas, Trojans and Bruins have been working hardest to secure his services while in-state options like Providence and the Rams “haven’t been as consistent.” www.providencejournal.com/story/sports/2022/08/22/pawtuckets-isaiah-miranda-deciding-his-college-basketball-commitment-soon/7861715001/

Keep the fullcourt press on and showing genuine interest, and describing how the Hoyas can develop his game. Finally, come out the chute playing well as a team, offensively and defensively.

The fact he gave this in EST tells me he is a hoya lean. Why else would you list anything other than the PST as a west coaster?

Want. This kid would be a monster building block for the program and Pat could teach him a thing or two about using that big body like a pro.

Georgetown- “I love Georgetown’s coaching staff. They make me feel like I’m one of their guys already and are just really cool with me. I feel so comfortable talking to them and I feel like I can talk to them about everything. There’s the history behind (Georgetown) and they want to get that going and that’s what I’m all about is getting that going again.”

I think I'm about get fooled again. We get this kid and we are back.

Love that this young man knows that history can almost repeat itself! I think the fit is most definitely mutual! We get him and championship is in our future!

I'd love to see us get Isaiah. Would be huge. Do you think we are seriously in the running? Reason I ask is 1) Rivals has USC, UConn and LSU as "high" interest. (Gtown isn't even listed). Knowing that Rivals seems is pretty slack at updating its info, I went looking for other factors that might give us a hint as to where we stand.
I saw a couple of comments Isaiah made in the final 9 schools comments. Which brings me to 2) he is drawn to coaches that demand a lot and really push the players to achieve more. He talks about the love he feels from the Gtown coaches, and that relationship might be the key. He also seems like he knows what to say about each place to not tip his hand and to keep the love and interest coming from the schools.
So, I'm a little concerned -- our coaches seem to have some worthy qualities, but I don't see pushing and demanding a lot or the best out of their players to be a defining quality, though I'm sure they do some of that. Is that the aspect of a program that will pull him in? Is all the talk about feeling the love and restoring the Hoyas to greatness more strategic or is it what sets us apart enough to bring him in?
Would love to hear opinions.

Would love to hear opinions. Take it how you want but we’ve been rumored front runners. UCLA and USC appeared to be the two to worry about but online chatter is UCLA has cooled off (could be Miranda who cooled on them) and USC insiders think he’s a Georgetown lean. I think the school to worry about is Oregon.
