Go back to the NIL thread on the main page. Schools can absolutely facilitate NIL opportunities - look at DFW'S link to TCU already having a program in place last September.
And how many people on this thread complained at length that Georgetown seemed averse to playing the NIL "game"? So now they recognize the need and there are complaints and unsupported accusations about that.

Getting towards "re-recruit Ighoefe" time.

Getting towards "re-recruit Ighoefe" time. No thank you Assume they'll keep pressing for any good centers left in the portal (ie. the kid from St. Bonaventure). But if none of those options pan out, I'd rather just get the best player we can in the 6'7-6'8 range to play the 4 and let Akok play more minutes at center. He's long enough and a good enough shotblocker to handle it defensively in most matchups, and his ability to play away from the basket offensively opens things up on that end in a way that someone like Iggy never could. I'd be fine with Akok and (a hopefully improved) Mutombo splitting the center minutes next year if we can't land an upgrade at center from the portal. I'd rather be a little smaller and have guys out there who can actually play than to recruit (or, ahem, re-recruit) a big body who brings almost nothing in terms of actual basketball ability. Of course, Akok is arguably the only PF on the team right now, so if we want to slide him down to center regularly, we could stand to bring in a quality power forward type. I'm not sure who that is, but there is likely a bigger pool of candidates. I'd actually rather see us re-recruit Holloway and play more small ball lineups (ie. Harris, Heath, Murray, Holloway, Akok) than to consider re-recruiting Tim, or to recruit another unskilled big along the same lines as Tim.

I would like a more skilled, rough n ready big guy...a new guy; but also, I want to see the bigs that stayed, Wilson and Mutombo take some developmental leaps forward. Wilson keeps taking baby steps forward (and I wonder if he loves the game), and Mutombo has the right ideas but is "lead-footed". He has to come back much stronger and agile.

He did more than double his total assists for the entire season from 5 in 2020-21 to 12 in 2021-22, so there’s that.

When looking at big men you must also take into account that each decent one you have gives you "5" fouls to use and minutes to rest other bigs. Q is not ideal, but it is starting to look like the prospect is better than going forward without any more bigs.

Any way you can list possibles in that list. I certainly keep up and know of those who have gone elsewhere but some list and ranking of possibles for G"town and maybe surprises for us would be nice. Hard to get excited ab out all, when so many have committed elsewhere and others we aren't even in play on.

Hard to get excited ab out all, when so many have committed elsewhere and others we aren't even in play on. I'll take a stab at this (slow work day, and nothing better to do). No particular order in who I think is best, but I'll list what I think are G'Town's odds of actually landing them. There will be some guys who aren't on this list. There's actually more available big men than I thought... 1) Josh Mballa (F/C, BUFFALO) --- YaBoy says G'Town has reached out. POSSIBILITY: 5/10. I do have a feeling G'Town will be heavily involved at the end. HS teammate of Akok. 2) Qudus Wahab (C, MARYLAND). No need to describe Q, we all know his strengths and weaknesses. POSSIBILITY: 7/10. Lots of rumblings about him. 3) Efe Abogidi (C, WASHINGTON STATE). POSSIBILITY: 2/10. I don't think G'Town was on his list of schools that originally reached out. Although his transfer recruitment is really dragging on. 4) D.J. Burns (C, Winthrop). POSSIBILITY: 4/10. Haven't heard G'Town being interested, but wouldn't shock me if we pop up in his final list soon. 5) Mouhamed Gueye (C, WASHINGTON STATE). POSSIBILITY 4/10. Also, no word on any G'Town interest (at this point). 6) Patrick Baldwin Jr. (F, MILWAUKEE). POSSIBILITY 4/10. Probably staying in the draft. I see we joke about us hiring his dad and taking on PBJ, but that scenario actually wouldn't completely shock me! 7) Jamarion Sharp (C, WESTERN KENTUCKY). POSSIBILIY 6/10. Could learn some post moves, that's one thing Pat CAN coach! 8) Pete Nance (F, NORTHWESTERN). POSSIBILITY: 3/10. Also likely to stay in the draft. Probably would want to transfer to a winning program, after spending his career at Northwestern. 9) Kenneth Lofton (F, LOUISIANA TECH). 2/10. Kirby spotted this kid out of high school, Hoyas were the only Power 5 that originally offered him. Too bad he didn't pick us back then, and I don't see it now. 10) Osun Osunniyi (C, ST. BONAVENTURE). POSSIBILIY: 5/10. Had G'Town in his top 5 when he came out of HS. HS teammates with Akok. If he wants to go with Kyle Lofton though, we have a low chance. I'm sure there's others, maybe Felipe Haase (MERCER), Tre Mitchell (TEXAS), but I don't see Georgetown going after a guy like Haase, and Mitchell's has advisor/handler baggage. Feel free to add if I've missed anyone!

I haven’t seen any reported outreach between GU and Mballa. YaBoy, where did you see that?

Hard pass. Not only did he leave, he's an outdated model of center regardless of what he and his people say he's capable of doing.

It does take awhile, lots of ingredients and delicious. I would like another ingredient like alligator meat in it, exotic, but it tastes like chicken!!
