DePaul and Butler each won 6 conference games. That means we could win 6 games next year and finish ninth or tenth in the league. We are so far away from even being mediocre.

It is not the critic that counts;the man in the arena trying to do great things while stumbling and suffering defeat; the man on the sidelines crticizing the strong man, stating how the man in the arena could have done better.....
I applaud the Hoyas! In such a season, they gave it their all!

Well, the season is over. I never quite thought we would go winless, but it happened. Now, we will see what happens in the off season.

I received a gift solicitation from GT yesterday, just before our season ended. Sending it back with a note but no $$$.

Hats off to the players for sticking with it to the end. They didn’t quit or turtle. They acquitted themselves admirably. I can’t criticize any of them for assessing their options in the offseason. I hope this time next year, we all feel more positively about the direction the program is heading in terms of results, development and so forth. From the top of the university down, I hope there is some serious self-reflection about how we failed our MBB student-athletes this season.

Loyalty Society member but I can't support continued wasting of funds with no accountability or transparency. I wouldn't do that anywhere else in my life so why here?

It still hasn’t sunk in how bad we were this year. I sat through it, I watched it, and it still doesn’t seem possible. I wondered before what the bottom looks like, and we have arrived. Now, the question is whether we are committed to getting out of the bottom or whether this is acceptable. It’s up to GU’s leadership to expect more from this program.

Cudos to the person who started this thread. You should be feeling really proud today. No of course not. I desperately hoped I was misreading things and just discouraged after a bad game. Unfortunately my sense of the many deficiencies of this particular collection of players was not wrong.

Well, I guess this year the definite things were death and taxes and the Hoyas not winning a BE game. Ugh!

Xavier went 8-11 in the BE and couldn’t make the NCAAs. I fear we won’t be playing in the NCAAs for a while. ☹️

Watching the games over the past two weeks really drives home how poorly coached, prepared & developed Gtown is right now.

You have to really fail across every level.

GTown's bad luck had to do with a once in a lifetime pandemic and a dismissal of one of maybe three players we couldn't afford (King, DC, Aminu) to lose. Plus we lost DC for a few games right after TCU. We were playing decent ball when the cases piled up. just saying

From someone who's not caught up in speculating about Ronny's role , in that anonymous rant supposedly by a player, so, from someone who's not a hater, by any measure. And, I've watched games closely and tried my best to give Ewing credit for certain coaching in-game actions. There is no excuse and it's unbelievable that Ewing is still here. No wins in 2022 can't be explained away by tribulations that other teams get past.
