7 rebounds, 3 blocks, and much better defense was a very positive half from Big Tim.
Pat's going to have to run with Tim when he picks up those two predictable early fouls. He can't afford to get behind with this team.

I want what you’re smoking. MGS is correct if Don and Kaiden are making shots. They can’t get good shots off against this type of competition in Ewing’s offense. That’s why they were recruited by Mt St Mary’s and the Citadel respectively.

Wow. Seriously still struggling with that one. Step back from the ledge. If you thought we were somehow the better team or that we should have won that game then you need to temper your expectations. A bunch of freshmen and so phomores got outmuscled and worn down by a bunch of strong, athletic juniors and seniors. Our “senior leader” is a poor matchup against the type of defenders he saw tonight. The C position is a wasteland and will continue to be until Mutombo makes some progress because Tim and Malcolm are just not cutting it at all. Frankly the only two guys that matched up even remotely well against SDSU physically were Dante and Aminu and they actually played well and kept the ship afloat for as long as they could. It's not the loss. It is the way it happened.

He can't afford to get behind with this team. But it was actually down to 4 by saving Tim on the bench. The strategy was sound till the Dante 3pt miss/assist for the breakaway windmill dunk (and the 5 point swing)

I said before the season started that we would go according to how Aminu and Dante played. We are stuck now because Dante can't offensively carry us and he can't really create for others. So this game is on Dante? Really? Every game is on Dante. He's the PG. He can't really create for anyone but himself and he wasn't able to create clean looks for himself in the 2nd half. I'm a Dante fan but if he is off he should be able to use his speed to drive, draw and dish.

Just not enough in this team at this time. Too many gaps and holes. Unless some third option gets hot or we get hot from three, this is just what it is going to be this season. This was our B team today, which just isn’t good enough. We may have some days where it is great and we get an A, but there will be more days where it it less than a B and will suck. We need a third offensive option to emerge quickly otherwise this is who this team is.

We lost to a better team (if you put much stock in sites like KenPom or BartTorvik, a much better team) that had a bunch of strong, athletic, veteran guys. We made a run in the second half and came up short. I was not surprised by this outcome nor the manner in which it happened. I’m not surprised that low level athletes like Carey and Rice and Ighoefe (despite an OK second half) were overmatched in this game.

I'm happy to admit I know nothing about basketball if we lost by 17 to the Aztecs because of Dante.

What the hell did this guys do the night before the game? They looked tired. What an ugly performance by team captain Don.
This was an experienced team vs an inexperienced one. They were tougher than us. Pat was outcoached from the moment he overthought the rotation and took out Dante and Aminu in yhe first half. The rest of the way was uphill.

The level of obsession you exhibit with one sole topic is borderline pathological.

I think Rice had a quarter second extra to shoot against Siena compared to tonight - he’s a gunner that has to have everything be perfect in order to succeed. Brutal shooting percentage on the year so far for Rice, with only 1 game against a decent opponent. There’s a reason he was on the Citadel.

But calling random dudes on the internet Bro is pretty fun.

I'm happy to admit I know nothing about basketball if we lost by 17 to the Aztecs because of Dante. That's not what I'm saying. What Dante does well is score but in order for GTown to improve we need Dante to be a better passer. With his handles and speed Dante should be able to make clean looks for his teammates at will but he because he's always been score first he doesn't know how to manipulate the D for easy offense. That's his job as PG

Here is my question: did we lose tonight because of Dante's decision making or his point guard play?
