One of the quickest catch and shoot guys I have seen in a long time. Like many shooters, there will be games when he is off. But you need him to keep shooting (within reason) - one make can suddenly unleash a 4 for 5 streak in 3 minutes that can turn a game around.

I like Rice a lot! The guy is our equalizer! He has confidence, range and a Steph Curry-like release on the ball!

Since he clearly has the green light...
I can't find this...help anyone...what is the single season record for most 3pts made and I guess taken?
You have to think he is going to threaten both those records this year...

It’s amazing how quickly he gets his shot up.

He has to do more than shoot on the offensive end, he has 2 assists this season…
As much as I love shooters, I’m not a fan of his game

He’s a great shooter, but needs to be more engaged on defense. He’s got good length. He is going to get paid to play with that stroke. His defense may determine his pro ceiling.

If you're going to have one "plus" skill, putting up points in bunches is the one to have. Maybe have him come off the bench if you're that concerned about his all-around game (it is concerning)? Pat used Jahvon that way last year down the stretch, so I don't see any reason why he'd shy away from it this year -- especially if Holloway or Billingsley show they can handle more minutes.
Either way -- if he stays anywhere near 40% from three with as much as he shoots, he'll be a valuable piece.

He is almost 45% on the season and has made 46% of the team's 3s. There is a lot to like.

One dimensional, no doubt. We can all hope he develops into a more rounded player, but where would this team be without him?

Kaiden is a very impressive shooter and having him on the floor will help the entire team on the offensive end, because teams just will not help off of him, which should open up more space for other guys. He does need to improve his defense and hopefully adds a little more rebounding to his game. At this point in his career I would not expect him to suddenly turn into a shut down defender, but with his length and athleticism he should be able to be a functional/capable defender. He will likely not be asked to guard the other teams best offensive players (that looks like it falls to Aminu most nights) so the staff needs to find a way to coach him up on the defensive end so that he can stay on the floor and help the team with his shooting.

I can’t recall ever seeing a player with as short a time from “catch” to “shoot”. It’s quite impressive.

The shooting will keep him on the floor, that's a given.
The general level of effort on defense has to go up. That means running back just as fast in transition D as he does when he's spotting up for a transition 3 on offense, instead of just jogging. It means offering at least a passable level of resistance inside of 15 feet when 1v1. It means a much higher level of physicality; the repeated touch and-1's he gives up are infuriating... if you're going to foul a guy, get your money's worth and make him earn it. And while the entire team is struggling at effective closeouts on the perimeter, he might be the worst of the bunch given the lackadaisical effort to rotate, recover to shooters, etc.
Hoping for some Bile-like adjustment from him as the season progresses. I think it's possible, but it's up to him and how much effort he wants to put in.

I’d like to see him come off the bench. Quick shot of offense when the some of the subs are on the floor.

Pat put his arm around him and was clearly encouraging him after he hit the late 3. Was thinking that Pat was telling him that even though he didn't get a lot of run in the second half, he's going to play a major role in our success this year, and to keep shooting. Hopefully he sprinkled in that he'll play more if he fights through screens and is not a matador.
