Yep I say give Mac a year in the G league so that he can improve on his jump shot especially the three point shot and improve on his passing (particularly setting guys up or putting guys in scoring position) and he will definitely be in the league. He needs to learn from what Yurt did during the offseason. He needs to shoot a thousand shots a day with half those shot being three point shots. Although I don't think he would be a passing point guard (I think he would be more like a shooting point guard), Mac needs to find a point guard coach to coach him up on the finer skills of passing. I think the passing is Mac's weakest skill. It's like he doesn't have the vision or that he is too focused on scoring the ball. It is almost like he is programmed. Anyways, Mac has all the other intangibles. He plays with a lot of energy, he is fearless and like Yurt, he believes in himself. He's uber athletic, plqys very good defense and Mac takes initiative both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

Mac needs to put up numbers. Yurt was impressive.

"Never mistake activity for achievement.” –John Wooden “You broke clowning a millionaire the joke is on you” I’m all seriousness that example of his activity did achieve its goal - he saved the ball from going out of bounds twice in one play. In all my time watching basketball that’s the first time I’ve seen that anywhere. Also, he just did that wearing a Lakers jersey. How is that not considered achievement in your book? I get it’s Monday, but lighten up. There will be other things to hate on that have more merit just be patient…

After all this country and the world has gone through the last 4 years, I take basketball somewhat seriously, but not THAT seriously.

I hope Mac finds a way onto an NBA team but think it is unlikely. His main missing ingredient is efficient shooting. He has always been a volume scorer, never efficient. Remember he hired a trainer after his freshman year to work on this. To no avail. I believe he will never be a good shooter; just not in his DNA. Hope I'm wrong.

If he were 6-6 he would probably be a rotation player. Unfortunately he's only 6-2 so basically has to be point guard to make the league.

After all this country and the world has gone through the last 4 years, I take basketball somewhat seriously, but not THAT seriously. I don’t understand your response. “Mostly joking”? Okay if you’re not then your take on that clip was inaccurate, and if it were actually a joke it would have to fully be a joke for it to actually be funny. Maybe you’re taking my response as intense but that has more to do with you. I was simply, calmly calling a spade a spade. No need to feel affronted by everything, you’re not going to bat .1000 with every post. Nobody said you took anything seriously, I just pointed that your sentiment doesn’t really apply in this situation and earnestly asked whether you really didn’t consider that achievement, which you never answered by the way. I get that communication is hard, but it’s not rocket science. I asked a question because I wanted to know the answer. In case you haven’t noticed by now I’m not into the juvenile social mind games most folks are into. I’m direct unless it’s something too obvious, in which case I might get sarcastic or facetious.

Hope I'm wrong. “Remember he hired a trainer after freshmen year to work on this” is not what actually happened. The game Telephone also used to fascinate me as a child. And this is a prime example of why 😂 Drew Hanlen gave him a couple workouts pro bono. Not the same thing and he’s not just a shooting coach. Also, to avail because his jump shot is much improved, just not to your liking or expectation
