Best wishes to Denver - he got a total screw job with how he was treated by Georgetown. I expect him to be a good shooter and solid contributor at a Power 5 program. He was a major casualty of the Traveling Nickelberrys Circus of Mercenaries. Anybody that thinks Ewing is a good guy should look at how he treated Denver. Did you watch the games?

Patrick Ewing is not the head coach anymore but he’s an alum and former Hoya player. I would hope the mods do a better job censoring this board against players being mistreated allegations and calling student athletes mercenaries.

I have posted about Denver not getting PT. Surprised to learn that he averaged 7 mins a game?! Is that right? Whatever it was, it was not anything approaching a plan that developed him or gave him time in OOC games or so-called "garbage time" when games were clearly out of reach and Primo was logging his 38 minutes. Just hard to see how he averaged 7 mins a game.

If he were any good he would have been playing as coach didn’t hesitate playing good freshman small guards (Dante, Mac, Akinjo)

Here's a kid who was a 4-star & was recruited, offered by a number of high major schools, who was a senior in high school this time last year. So, he was perceived by scouts and coaches to have the talent. He comes to GU, and what opportunities did he have to develop and grow? Didn't do much? You're not saying that he had his chances but just didn't do much with them because he wasn't good enough, right? So what part of what I've said here do you not agree with? You don't have to like the kid, but don't ignore the facts and take cheap shots at him.

It is not about not liking him. He was a 4* recruit who did not demonstrate his strength, 3 pt shooting, in the chances he got. He also did not show the ability to play point guard which limited his minutes and his height was a defensive liability. I hope he finds the right team and the right coach to get good playing time wherever he finishes up his college career but I will be surprised if he ends up starting on a P5 team. If the incoming Georgetown coach wants to recruit him ti stay, I have no problem with that. He will have a lot more data and expertise to make that decision than I do. If he does not make a serious effort to try to get Denver to stay, I also have no problem with that. I think Bass has more potential to contribute at the D1 level than Anglin does.

We can debate all day about Denver and what happened to him... The answers is let's look at what schools are reaching out to him in the portal. There is your answer...

Best of luck to Denver. Great kid and family. I had a chance to chat with his mom at a game late in the season. She said he was keeping his head up, but gave me the sense his family was not a fan of the way he was treated this season. (I can’t blame them).
He’s one o would have love to have kept at GU, but can’t blame him for doing what he thought was best for his development.

I like DA but he couldn’t shoot the 3pt shot very well as a freshman.
