It sounds like the Hoyas may really have a chance here. Wow!

Any reason why a bunch of teams in his top 11 have cut off contact with him? Memphis insider said they backed off but he can’t go into saying why. Maybe teams are thinking he’s a pro?

Looks like MJ Rice to Kansas may take them out of the running. Couple that with Livingston's comments around not hearing too much from Memphis and the comments on his visit and dare I say that I'm starting to get excited? Why can't we have nice things?

I wouldn’t get excited about him being a Hoya. As much as I enjoy the connecting of the dots any school would take him regardless of who they have in their program. Hope he becomes a Hoya but nothing at this point says he will…unless someone has some insider info.

It's interesting, too, that he said he might move his commitment date up after talking with coaches about the importance of an early commitment.

The staff should be rolling out the red carpet for Livingston and Watson to get them both to commit. We need the local guy and we need another 5 star guy and we will be set nicely.

Personally, I prefer Prince Aligbe over Watson, but I'll take Livingston and his brother if that's what it takes to get CL to Hilltop. Kid is a killer. Got the body of a 26 yo and oodles of game. Watching Harris, Aminu, Livingston, Riley and King run the floor together would be kind of unfair - Phi Slamma Saxa! On rewatch of his film, I love his game, but he’s way more polished than athletic.

Would want him to join because he wants to...not because of other circumstances. Hope he sees the value of what the staff could provide even if it's for one year.

Man if we get Livingston and Watson, it's like Coach Ewing was hearing my pleas! He already answered my wishes when I begged him to get Denvet! I'm so excited!!

Aligbe is a beast but we desperately need a local talent to get our local pipeline going.

And it is basically confirmed that Memphis has been very patchy if talking to him at all soooo trying to not get excited is difficult

For those in-the-know with the 2021 recruiting nuances, are recruits and schools engaged in above-board negotiations that are different than prior years? As an example, might the Livingston brothers request, as part of the recruiting process, that their school(s)-of-choice grant them an irrevocable right to do NFTs during their college career (either as teammates or at separate schools)? Or is that not even necessary?

Chris come play for the greatest player coach ever to play the game in Coach Patrick Ewing! No other coach has his resume or his credentials. You wanna make the league? Come join the dynasty maker and be part of the future Hoyas that will put the program back where it belongs! Let's go Chris!

Look at the love the kid shows for my coach and the staff www.casualhoya.com/2021/8/10/22618229/recruiting-georgetown-hoyas-pushing-hard-for-top-2022-forward-chris-livingston-patrick-ewingLivingston told Jacob Polacheck of Zagsblog that he loves “Patrick Ewing, what he’s done for the game and how he gives back, being the Hall-of-Famer that he is” and “Having a head coach like Patrick Ewing – he’s been where I want to be in life and he can really help me a lot.” This is not the first time fans have heard a recruit state this sentiment, but it’s great to hear it articulated from a top prospect. Talking more about his visit to GU, Livingston said, “They’re really down to earth people that you feel you can relate to,” that “They were just talking about how they can really get me to where I want to be,” and that, “They really believe in me and they’re really nice people.” It’s not every interview that one hears a recruit explicitly say, “That was a good visit,” and it may mean more when he notes how “nice” the people are. The reports from Kente Korner are that the entire Livingston family was on-hand to see the campus and hear the pitch. Very good. I told everyone when I first came on HoyaTalk that Coach Patrick was a great guy, a down to earth guy, a very nice guy and very very approachable. I also told everyone that he will resonate with the recruits. This kid's sentiment is just one out of many recruits that say these great things about my coach. It won't be long before we are landing a 5 star each year! Shout out to Coach Patrick Ewing and the staff! Let's Go Hoyas!

What happened to Kentucky in this as they are one of the other “remaining” contenders with TSU (Kansas, and Memphis being the others but others feeling confidence they are likely done)? It is far from over and they have not signed any F players yet but with a couple of 5 star Fs on their radar

First, you might want to revise this to read greatest player and college coach; otherwise, Bill Russell, Larry Bird and Jerry West might have something to say about it. And even going with college coach, well, there was this guy who was an All American at Purdue who became a pretty fair coach. His name was Wooden.

You don’t tell a guy that is extolling his wife publicly to you that she’s not as hot and pleasant as Jessica Alba. This is a GU board, how bout you save that energy for those people who are incessantly negative?
