Technically this isn't all on Ewing. The four year rolling average ending with the 19-20 season would include the 16-17 season, which was JT3's last year. It's probably not fair to blame Ewing for the transfers of Isaac Copeland and Paul White, or LJ Peak going pro early, all of which happened before Ewing was hired by Georgetown. With the move to allowing a one time not have to sit out a year when transferring rule, it would seems that transfers will exponentially increase and that the NCAA would have to adjust APR. has there been any talk about that? www.ncaa.org/about/resources/media-center/news/di-committee-academics-recommends-two-year-apr-penalty-suspensionBecause of COVID, there's a 2 year suspension of APR penalties. And during the APR penalties suspension they will be reviewing APR.

APR is a flawed metric but it’s a disgrace that we’d ever be even close to the penalty area. I guess just add this to the list of things Ewing has messed up. Maybe some of the players broke their hands during the Big East Tournament Run .. I mean during finals ... and we unable to complete assignments and take tests.

I broke my hand in February well before the Big East tournament. I’m not discounting the entrainment value of that run but I also think it’s absurd to over value what happened in that week. I think it was the result of some improvement which can be credited to the coaches and players and a lot of luck and randomness. It was fun and I’d expect some of that improvement to carry over but, on the whole, I doubt much will change. The head coach is still bad and the team will probably be mediocre.

Uggh, he is back, helping to hijack another thread to advance his ugly agenda.
If you guys want to discuss APR, find the thread that was open on it last year and post there. Don't give this guy extra opportunities to spew his hate.
Lesson to self: always sign in so the blocked member's trash posts don't show up. My bad.

So, you think I invented an injury weeks before the Big East tournament in anticipation of a miracle run so I could avoid talking about this run? Really?

We all have smart phones now that we can just push a icon and talk into our phones. Some phones you don't even have to push the icon. So while 99% of the posters were losing their minds with the excitement of a 10yr old on Christmas eve, you were avoiding the site because you broke your hand....please Hoyatalk fam let me know if a broken hand would have kept you off the site after the Nova game for over a week....

Careful guys. Admin locked another thread because people were complaining about this poster. Good. shut it down. Some posters are intentionally poison AND they enjoy it. If scorched earth is necessary, so be it. Personally if I had to pick one senior to return it would be Pickett. He just fills such a need and could be a great leadership example for the incoming class. He'll get his chance elsewhere so I doubt he'll be back, but it would be nice.

My son said Blair was on his Instagram trumpeting the team’s new shoes with some comment like, “Let’s get it!”
Doesn’t necessarily mean anything, but would love to have Bile, Blair and Carey back. Pickett is going to get paid somewhere.

Pickett is going to get paid somewhere. If Bile/Blair/Carey do come back to GU. This team will change up to more small ball play on the court, and less emphasis on playing mostly on the block, since QW has left the program.

I love it! Give me 2 or 3 of the seniors plus the freshman class...I think we are a tourney team.

Some good news with our seniors would go a long way toward minimizing the impact of Wahab’s transfer. This is a unique opportunity to have veteran leadership work with a really talented new class. I sense that Dante will lead this team, but having any of these guys around would be an incredible opportunity. Is it too much to hope that we start hearing some decisions before too long?

Could this be the only way to force Ewing to play a lot of small ball?
