Aside from Nova's missed 1-1s, the biggest thing was that we were solid on D. We weren't great by any stretch, but we were solid. We had a hand in the face on most shots. We didn't get beat off the dribble constantly. Some, of course. But not constantly.
I love the last play. Just love it. We ran the weave got a mismatch and attacked.
I thought we took some tough shots down the stretch. A bit of hero ball. But at the very end...we moved it...a great entry from Blair to Q. And then the last play.

I respect Jay Wright as a premier college coach but I'm starting to really dislike him. He is constantly in the officials' ears and bitches and moans at everything.

Best I've felt after a Hoyas win since Syracuse - 3/9/13.

Just wow. Resiliency to hang around, ability to execute down the stretch. - Dante Dante Dante. Put it all together in the 2nd half. He had shown bits and pieces of all of those things in individual games. For that to come through during the biggest game of the season is just so rewarding. Hoyaboya should have to issue a public apology
- Positive adjustment: Trying to get Q post touches in the center of the paint from top of key. Really tough to double from there and he was able to make them pay
- Negative non-adjustment: I simply just can't believe we left Pickett on JRE and Q on Samuels. Pickett couldn't handle JRE in post, Q couldn't close out in time to Samuels without giving up a straight line drive. You saw two times down the stretch where Pickett ended up on Samuels and Samuels had nowhere to drive. One ended up in a no-mans fade away. Another was the pass where Q helped off JRE for no reason. Now maybe JRE would've just killed Q but I'll make JRE shoot from 3 all day. They basically played Q off the court and he only came back in because of Bile foul out
- We won despite Bile today. He has to find a middle ground, unnecessary fouls, forced shots, 5 TOs.
- And Pickett needs to play within himself. He's just not a dribble /drive creator. Multiple one handed passes that never had a chance
- We didn't win the TO battle today, but 12 turnovers is on the low end for us. Will take it
- I'll fully air myself out here, I was certainly not positive about Holloway playing after the Cuse game. While I think there's an upside limitation due to his size and athletic ability, I'll fully admit he's getting the most out of what he has. He wasn't a negative on the court today, and that in and of itself is a positive
- The next foul call that Jay Wright thinks was correctly called on Villanova will be the first. It's really unbelievable. He's an amazing coach but it's just infuriating to watch.
What a wild ride. Hoya Saxa

Unbelievable win---defining one of the Ewing era. If we can get Pickett to calm his nerves and play as loose as he did late season, we can win this tournament. He is tight as a drum out there.

Last foul was an obvious one---not sure of the and 1 on Q --- but refs were consistent all game.
