Watched the Loyala Chicago vs Indiana State game from yesterday. This team looks better than the Final Four team from 4 years ago. Cameron Kurtwig has become a Wes Unseld type monster. Great Pack Line Defense and now they are using Princeton Principles on offense with Kurtwig as the Quarterback. So a slow down defense and a slow down offense. They can completely control the pace of the game.

Moser would be an outstanding option if/when we end the Ewing experiment.

The Final Four team was good but there was also alot of luck involved in getting there. Some luck is pretty much what most teams need to get to the Final Four along with talent.

Any info out there re: Moser’s contract. 2018: Porter Moser signed a contract Wednesday that will keep him as the head men's basketball coach at Loyola University Chicago through the 2025-26 season. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed However there is probably an out. I think he's going to move on after this year if they get to the tournament and make noise. As the last couple years Loyola was quiet, and there was probably a feeling he missed his opportunity not going to a more high powered program after the Final Four. But all credit for him for sticking with the small school like Thompson did with Georgetown and Coach K did with Duke.

Actually Porter Moser is a Chicago guy but he played basketball at Creighton and was an assistant there before Mac.
When Mac leaves which should be soon, I could see Creighton make a big push for Porter in order to save the program

Not sure he would be comfortable going cross town. It's like being traded or free agent signing to a team in your own division or conference. Doesn't usually happen. My money is on Creighton, that is assuming Loyola makes some noise and gets at least to the Sweet 16. (which is uncertain given the unpredictability of March Madness and the fact that they are slated to be a 12 seed)

We'll see how it plays out but I'd be surprised if Depaul doesn't make a run at him...

In fact one could argue that Loyola has a better program. Shaka played Marquette (which is still a much better program) and ended up with the grand prize, Texas. Andy Enfield, FGCU to USC. Brad Stevens - Celtics

I hear you with Creighton but I'd be leery of the circumstances of that job, no where to go but up @ DePaul...

They were clueless when they rehired Letiao in the first place. I'm not sur why anyone would think that would work. I think they could also be another landing place for Shaka if Shaka flames out at UT (as Shaka from just up the road) or maybe they try to connect to the Meyer past with Rod Strickland (who has learned from the recruiting master, Calipari)

Ackerman & the league members should hold an immediate vote to kick DePaul out if they decide to keep Leitao after this season is over...

The mistake was probably letting DePaul into the Big East in the first place. They were already a horrible program.
