Watched the Loyala Chicago vs Indiana State game from yesterday. This team looks better than the Final Four team from 4 years ago. Cameron Kurtwig has become a Wes Unseld type monster. Great Pack Line Defense and now they are using Princeton Principles on offense with Kurtwig as the Quarterback. So a slow down defense and a slow down offense. They can completely control the pace of the game. Loyola is very good, though not sure they’re as strong as that Final Four team. They’ve had a great season, should get a 7 seed or better this time. Moser would be an outstanding option if/when we end the Ewing experiment. EWING EXPERIMENT....😂😂😂

A lot of complicated logistics and moving parts going on at this NCAA tournament. If they can pull this off and not have any games forfeited because of COVID, it will be a small miracle. If this all was going to be completed in one weekend, then I could see it happening, but these players and staff are going to be out there for a few weeks (if they keep winning) and that is a long time for everyone to maintain these restrictive protocols. I hope they can make it happen, but it will not be easy.

Myreon Jones has shot around 40% from 3 the past two seasons, including going 5 of 8 from deep against the Hoyas in November 2019. Hoyas were looking at him late in his high school recruiting in spring 2018.

Not sure if this has been stated yet and not sure everyone remembers but...
At least to give you a reason to watch Texas Southern and Mt Saint Mary's is that Galen Alexander plays for Texas Southern...
His playing time was all over the board from game to game but he is their 4th leading scorer at 10ppg...

I love Riley and Aminu as much as the next Hoya fan, but having a veteran option in the group would be great.

Lots of great info in this workbook posted to Reddit. It's actually an amazing piece of work that this person put together, literally should not be for free. Worth a read for EVERY basketball fan. Includes a lot of advanced analytics Dropbox: www.dropbox.com/s/y705w4too16upz5/2021%20NCAA%20Tournament%20Guide.pdf?dl=0Google Drive: drive.google.com/file/d/1P9iw38kU4Pp_2L37c_HbZxYcJG6FYhS1/viewI'd start at the beginning for the full field stats but obviously they don't represent us well since it's looking at the whole season's resume. East Region Specific starts on page 172 Our sub region starts on page 185 and includes splits of different types of offensive plays and the PPP of each (i.e. how often we score of Cuts and the PPPo of-that). Shows that our 3 most scored off sets are Spot-Up shots, P&R Ball Handler, and Post-Up (in that order). Most efficient shot for us is off a cut but that's only 4.9% of our scores. There's also a fun heat map there. Hoya Specific page is on 188. At the end of our section is a table of "Record when" specific scenarios occur.

If I'm reading that right, Colorado is very unbalanced. They hit corner 3s and midrange around the free throw circle. But there only other 3s are come on the right side in one spot diagonally from the basket. Almost none of there 3's come from the left except in the corner.

Once again if I'm reading that graph right, without giving away too much, Javhon is going to have a huge day.
