A lot of doubters to prove wrong. That means we got 10 last place votes and 1 9th place vote or 9 last place votes and 2 10th place votes.

WAY below SJU and Depaul. Time to have some fun and knock out some teeth. Hope that we are smiling and laughing about these predictions in March.

This isn't the Patriot League pre-season football poll, it's the Big East poll, and the coaches basically sat Ewing in the basement. Behind DePaul. We can all say "let's surprise them!" but the poll has picked the last place team six straight years. And while I was hoping for 9th and expecting 10th, I really, really didn't think Georgetown would be seated behind DePaul. This program has to start realizing it's not 1989 anymore. It's not even 2017.

Sad when UCONN hops back into the league and predicted to be in top 5 and Hoyas last. Not expecting much this season but there has to be a step forward. Last year may have been 1 of the worst in my 30+ years of Hoya fandom to go through, even with a victory over the Cuse which accounts for alot! Some stability with the roster and smart coaching moves in-game is what I'm looking for.

You'd be a great Hoya football fan, where the glass is always no more than half-full. (Because they pour it that way.) Last place is not half-full, that's 5th place. Last place is a message from your fellow coaches that you aren't good at all. And continued poor finishes and fading recognition like this only corrode the institutional support of this program until it gets to a point where the University simply won't spend $17 million on it any more and will find other places in the University to invest in. The University has no obligation to fund this program in the top 20 nationally if it continues to struggle.

DePaul isn't really the problem to me. DePaul has some pieces that could be considered better than what GTown has coming back/in. But Butler and StJs have nothing that scares you in my opinion. Man I really hope Q makes the jump that I expect because we are going to be good if that happens. Morko and Q will be one of the better duos in the BE...

This is pathetic. What will be even more pathetic if we “outperform” by finishing 9th or 10th, all the praise for Ewing and the great job he’s doing. He should be fired now but he’ll probably end up with a lifetime contract.

The POY is not on the first team? How does that work?

The POY is not on the first team? How does that work? It's their way of highlighting more players in the league

Right now we are talking about a preseason poll. And Georgetown can fund or not fund the basketball program however they decide. People who do not like that can vote with their feet in terms of donations, etc.
